Elias Sørensen (now playing for Esbjerg fB)

The concern was that he was lightweight. Same issue when the U23s got beat at Sunderland in the cup, just didn't look physical enough to cope with first team football. Even if he's training with their first team and getting the odd bit of time hopefully it'll aid his development.

Hadn’t he scored against 3 Football League teams along the way? League 2 may have been more suitable where he’d have had the ability to be first choice.

I hate when some fans mostly on twitter get outraged when we don't loan players to promotion contenders in the Championship or aren't pulling trees when out on loan.

We should have loaned him to a League 2 club or a team in Scotland to get game time. The club also needs to loan players much earlier in transfer windows instead to desperate clubs that just want another body to bulk up their squads.

jamie sterry’s been on loan at Crewe for 3 games and spent them on the bench.

But....he's better than Joselu, why is he on the bench in League One....

Why did no championship clubs come in for Longstaff in the summer?

  it's almost like it's not an exact science

also did anyone say he was currently better than joselu?  just remember people saying give him a shot except that one dude who said give him the 9

Good. They were wasting his time down there. If we are safe early with games to spare, hope Rafa can play him once or twice before the season is out

Can't get in a league one squad, but should play in the premier league?

Bit short sighted to say the least. HBA couldn't get into Steve Bruce's relegated Hull team so he shouldn't be starting in UEFA cup then?

It's our fault in a way if we are sending to clubs without being sure that they will at least get a look, Blackpool are an awful side and they still didn't play him.

Works both ways. They probably saw a prolific U23 striker who was scoring against EFL sides in the Checkatrade Cup thinking he’d do the job. He’s been training there, came off the bench in his first appearance so they must have had the intention of easing him in and playing him. They’ve obviously seen something that suggests he’s not ready or no better than the rest of their forwards just yet.

I've just read that, once again, he's not getting any game time at Carlisle.

What has happened to this guy? It seems only yesterday that he was banging in goals for fun for the U21's, scoring for Denmark U21's and everyone saying he should be in the 1st team.

Has he gone downhill or what?
