I've only been watching from 20 minutes onwards but Towelie, we've been quite good. Ameobi's contributed, Martins has been popping up in places and our defending looks good. Impressed with Coloccini and Bassong so far. I think we can take 'em.

We're extremely lucky to be level, had we not been, no one would've said that we've been playing good. Even though we're ten men, when we're a goal down at home, we shouldn't be going all out defence. We've had one good passage of play, that was for the Duff chance, other  than that, we've struggled to string two passes together and haven't created anything.

EDIT: Agree about Coloccini, by the way, he's been our best player by a mile.

Robinhos dropped 110% in my estimations. As if diving wasn't bad enough looking round to make sure you got it is a joke.

surely not a dive mate, but a clean, strong challange from beye. end of story really..

Joe Kinnear has actually got Shola playing pretty well and Duff too.

I cannot say enough about the players effort tonight. Absolute first rate. Bringin in Kinnear has definitely made a difference.

It would be awesome if we could get something even after being cheated the way we were.

Come on lads!

Oh ... how much does Mark hughes suck. he won't last past the end of the season. City have been pretty lacklustre all things considered.

Ameobi is shocking. Even his goal was a mishit!

he's done realy well if you ask me.

most of his touches are better than he usually does

He's been getting advice from Viduka.

His contract's up at the end of the season after all.

Loved Ameobi's shanked finish. Went about 90 degrees wide of where he was aiming it.

As for the penalty, well with a slow-mo replay you can see Beye got the ball but it's hard to blame the ref for giving a penalty when you see it full speed and from his angle. Maybe we can appeal and get it overturned and have Beye back for the mackem game?

Styles' angle was his own fault for not keeping up with play and the change in ball direction showed Beye got a clear touch.

You absolutely out of your f***** mind, hes bad positioned and he doesnt even care like following up the play (fat f***) then he just gives a pen, and if it was because of the touch then hes outside of the box, give the red but not the pen. Either way its one of the worst decision ive seen against us...

You do realise that referees can't move faster than footballs right? Can't really grumble about his angle due to the fact that the game was going at a fast pace, but the linesman should have been able to see that he got the ball first.

4 penalties have been given against us no? Arsenal, Everton, Man City and Bolton...

Hull as well.

5 in 8 League games.

A shocking statistic.

4... we beat Bolton 1-0.

Still bad, mind.

Yeah, but Bolton were still given a penalty for Taylors 2 handballs. Given saved.
