  1. Can't see a wage cap being a good idea at all, it'll deter the very top end players from coming to the league potentially and limiting the ability of clubs to bring in the very best players in the world (if those players can get better money elsewhere). I get that it's probably more of an impact on those current top six clubs now, but it would also affect anyone who finally broke into that clique or needed to pay slightly over the odds to get better players to join them when said players could go to 'bigger' clubs. I'm still of the mind that the luxury tax was a better option, but that seems to have been completely disregarded by the teams in the league.
  2. I wish someone would twat that fucker with the drum, it's as annoying as fuck when I'm listening to the match
  3. ... maybe we're holding back until the second half, lulling them into a false sense of security
  4. Both 19yrs old, the other details are so sparse though that it could literally be anyone!
  5. If we sold Bruno to any team within the Prem I'd be raging. I don't care about a supposed 'verbal' agreement that he can talk to champions league teams, it's the minimum fee of £100m and only to a foreign club as far as I'm concerned. Arsenal, City, Manure, the Scouse wanks, they can all fuck right off, especially with how they've been going hell for leather over the last couple of year getting in cahoots with the league to keep their little clique together at the top of the league. FFP nonces, the lot of them!
  6. Reckon that was all a bit of a fix on that VAR decision, a Manchester derby final brings in more viewer and more money I guess...
  7. £15m-£20m for Longstaff, available in the summer? Hmmm, don't think so.
  8. They could have made more about the haptic shirts we've pioneered and all the good work on them too, if it'd been one of the red team they'd have been spunking over it.
  9. The sooner FFP gets removed in favour of a luxury tax the better, the whole FFP system is a shambolic embarrassment as it stands. Regardless of the implications towards us, regular messing about with deductions, chopping and changing the table, it's just cocking up where teams are placed too much, nobody knows whether they're coming or going and there's always that possible specter over your shoulder and that where you 'think' the teams are in the table, might not actually be the case, so nobody knows what to aim for. Just a mess from start to finish - it's becoming a balance sheet championship for most teams, more than actual football being played.
  10. https://the72.co.uk/2024/04/08/newcastle-united-watch-2m-peterborough-united-ace-put-in-decent-cup-final-display/ Been to a handful of Peterborough matches recently, the lad's alright, not sure he'd work as well in the Prem, but you never know.
  11. Is this a direct result of teams like Notts Forest, etc actually questioning the competition legalities of FFP/PSR and consulting legal teams? NDM knows.
  12. Would UEFA want to hamstring the interest in their leagues/competitions by blocking big spending teams from leagues that have wised up to the FFP/PSR nonsense?
  13. Isak and Bruno must get pissed off with all their efforts going to waste. It's tonight's sort of fuck-up that could sew the seeds of possible summer moves to teams that might actually win things (or at least grind out results!).
  14. 2 easy points lost there, shit result against a shit team. Won't be sad to see them relegated this year.
