Southgate was garbage at club level, but has done well with England....admittedly some of this is due to the fact that he's had the choice of the best bunch of English players I've seen in my lifetime. I'd still love to see the disaster he would make at Man U. It would be a thing of beauty for every non-Man U fan

    Papiss Cissé

As much as I thought (and still do) that Speed was great for us (apart from when he constantly shifted to left wing) I can't actually remember any of his goals. It pains me to say that my lasting memory of him was that sh** show against Marseilles
  3. Sounds like Resident Evil or The Last of Us Plus he had time in Spain before so must have picked an inking of the language at least
  4. I think it's difficult to argue against Big Jo. He's turned from a poor striker into a beast of a midfielder sort of the reverse to Alan Smith. He did this before Bruno came in, but has looked so much better with the undoubted class he brings to the side. Difficult to argue that Bruno hasn't been as good without Jo there too though
  5. This has total balls up written all over it. More injuries, and a team that has flip flops on ready for holidays, and traditional Manager sound bites "there's still a lot to play for"....0-3 And given my record watch us pull in a 6-0 win
  6. 2032, suspended for 10 years as they co-operated
  7. Well we've had a mid-table season with them, so is it just possible we could be over-rating them just a touch. Yes Isak has missed big chunks, but Brunos been pretty consistently available, just hasn't had the same impact this year as last. Not his fault admittedly due to what's been around him, but true greats drag others up to their level
  8. It seems a stupid move from them tbh. "We've found our previous owners were dodgy so are reporting them now knowing we can be punished for their transgressions". Looks like they know they're going to get a punishment and are hoping for leniency because they actually reported it. If this Grankowsla (however its spelt) was so in with Abromovich as it sounds, why bring Chelsea into it at all...me smells some shenanigans that people wanted to make look legit

    Alexander Isak

Well it wouldn't...ideally it would be great to have both, but if we can move Isak on, gain Toney for less than Isak goes for it improves us. Purely from the standpoint that isak does seem to be injury prone and can't be relied on to be fit for the next game no matter what. As good as he is he won't be seen as the real article till he can spend the majority of the season available and doesn't miss 4 games for every 3 he plays
  10. This....and even Sheff Utd I'd be suspect in given that we're NUFC.

I'm no flag worshipper or anything, but I don't understand why any designer would change the colours of a national teams flag and try to promote it as something wonderful and revolutionary. Cant imagine there's too many national FAs that would even consider it. Could you see Germany allowing pink stripes between the red, black and gold to show their LGBT tolerance, or Scotland changing their blue to slate grey to reflect their normal weather, or Ireland just displaying a pint of Guinness? Daft idea and is clearly change just for the sake of change
  12. Used to get a pie at the start of the match to keep hands warm until half time by then it had just cooled enough not to strip the skin off your mouth

I dont recall the St George Cross ever having purple or blue in it. Weirdest 'modern take on a classic' I ever saw. What next, the France tricolor in brown green and yellow? There is such a thing as trying too hard....and Nike have nailed it
  14. Got to make an example of someone to show that the rules work....obviously can't touch the teachers pets though
  15. But but but....ffp, psr...how could we possibly afford even one of them
