  1. Making ETH look shitter by the minute.
  2. Enjoying this Dortmund performance.
  3. One thing we are absolutely good at, is selling a vision. One phone call from Amanda/Mehrdad/Reuben and he will be putty. We can offer him a manager who will take his personal development to another level.
  4. Some like to fire shots at Ando but he was a genuine ITK of this forum (possibly the first) and since they are rare as hens teeth, if he is now making stuff up, he gets a pass from me.
  5. For those who want an east stand fix, it's hardly out of the question. A new roof would make a hell of a difference to both the east stand and the gallowgate. Making them all the same would be more aesthetically pleasing for starters. If its the actually outside of the east stand, we'll I've actually got a soft spot for that brutalist style. It transports me to a SJP which I wasnt old enough to see.
  6. I'm pretty much expecting everything short of a new stadium. Once the works done, I imagine it will look radically different, new roof, new seats, new layout, new corporate, new media area, new dugouts and changing rooms. SJP needs to be fit for purpose but by keeping the ground in the same location, you keep it's soul alive. I think the compromise might be a major stadium sponsorship, perhaps not the name itself but pretty much everything else. Undoubtedly from the middle east. 20m per year for the next 20 years wouldn't half pay for some of the expansion costs. Imagine something like SELA in neon lights shining across the city, which don't forget you can see as far as the A1. I think I can just about take this compromise for a class stadium.
  7. Someone please explain the difference between the old rules and the new rules but explain it like you are talking to an 8 year old. Also in a nutshell, is this good news for us?
  8. 6. Brighton at home and one away win. Perversely, out of the 4 teams we have left, Burnley are in a better place psychologically than the other 3. They have motivation and momentum. Brighton are in terrible form. Brentford are on the beach and their star is being phased out. Man Utd are crippled with injuries and have major internal issues.
  9. The fact that Poch doesn't play him regularly (is he injured?), suggests that he's not necessarily seen as someone for the now, and given their FFP needs, surely there would be a deal to be done. I honestly think he's the best young English CB (not stacked in that area). He'd be worth every penny the 45m we paid for Gordon and possibly more. He can play CB and LB which should make him gold dust.

    Anthony Gordon

Worth reflecting on how we signed him. "Under Eddie he's going to flourish", was a rather astute call from AS. Also, feels like he was a boy merely 18 months ago.
  11. It's a risk/reward thing. With the amount of money invested, Adidas and Co just don't take risks with their designs. It's a shame, but you can understand why. On the other hand, with there being 3 kits, do the first two safe and the 3rd one make it a bit wild. I would love a silhouette of the tyne bridge or whatever. That would look lush.
