  1. How’s the supporters taking to the stadium now? @Yorkie Their original home ground was arguably defined as being within the city centre, if not then it was certainly in amongst the residential areas, which is where you grew up I believe. The new stadium is anything but, essentially put on to what we would consider Silverlink. Good access for the ring road, but not centrally located. I know a lot of fans were a bit unhappy with the move, and it had to overcome various obstacles during planning, and construction, which didn’t help things either. Are fans starting to take to it? If not, do you think they would if York started going up the leagues?
  2. Leicester wil surely pick up. I also think Leeds could end up doing a Man City like run until the end of the season.
  3. It would be good for Ipswich to come up, however even a win today still means they would have virtually no room for error, and Leicester would still have a game in hand on them where they can overtake them.
  4. Excellent results for Gateshead, and York. York have moved well up with that result and are only a couple of points off their total from last season, a win and they will have more points than last season and you would think would surely be safe for another year. @Yorkie

It’s not meant to be used during msthdays, they even say. It’s designed to bring income in when the football isn’t on. The bar would be a waste time otherwise as it is in clear view of the pitch, and you can’t serve alcohol in clear view of the pitch during games.
  6. That maybe, but putting a ban on betting higher than being a racist, or kicking the fuck out of cats is low. Also I don’t think the football authorities can have it all. They can allow for so much gambling sponsorship, and actually ban the players for parking in it, you get one or the other.
  7. If he’s banned again then it just shows that all the football authorities are working to protect the top 6.

Manors was the least used station on the line, until the uni opened up.
  9. Collar aside, that’s lush.
  10. Doing alright so far, won 3 out of 5 games. They only won 4 games last season. Also don’t forget that John Herdman, their manager is a Newcastle fan from Consett.
  11. Apparently the clubs who currently use Umbro, like Bournemouth will keep the Bournemouth branding. I’d guess they will go back on that eventually. From their point of view they might get a better production line, and distribution network.

If we do rebuild SJP and have to move somewhere temporarily, we’d likely have to get over ourselves in saying the SOL isn’t an option. We can’t go anywhere else, aye going to Murray-field would be nice for a couple of big games, but isn’t sustainable. The SOL is only 3k behind us in capacity, it means we’ll be able to let all our season tickets still attend, and still sell some to people who go on a game by game basis.
  13. Castore have bought the European arm of Umbro.
  14. Shame, but they were nowhere near as good as they have been. They never pressed the game as much as they should have. Overall we were probably the better team, but we never created enough chances, never took a shot when we should have, and never passed when we should have. It has to be a learning curve for the lasses, just turning up to win isn’t going to be enough next season, and it wasn’t today.
