  1. He falls like someone's unplugged him from the matrix
  2. It had all the force of faith healing man. You can see him decide to go down (unconvincingly) as it's happening. He's terrible at it.
  3. It was on Longstaff, of course it wasn't an actual pen. Gust of wind could come in and he'd go down and lose the ball.
  4. Said it ages ago but Liverpool were never contenders this season like. They've never looked really good.
  5. He's not wrong though. It wasn't immediately a bad performance, we looked okay then grew into playing bad, then nearly out of it, then stayed in it. It's a throwaway comment anyway.
  6. No one will ever learn to have a bit of humility man.
  7. Kid Icarus

    Jacob Murphy

Tbf to Murphy, he was targeted more than anyone in terms of pressing, without much support at all, and his options were often back down the line to a (being pressed) Krafth, or blindly inside hoping that Longstaff would be there.
  8. Thought he tried and had moments where it looked like he was going to do something but ultimately didn't have a great night. The midfield aside from Bruno didn't have what it takes tonight, but it's not something I'd judge him too harshly on, our front 3 were poor too.
  9. Not sure exactly what went wrong, just that it did. Having said that it's not the only factor, there were some poor performances out there and Palace pressed well.
  10. Bruno, comfortably. Pulled the strings when we had the ball, but everyone else was nowhere near it going forward.
  11. He makes me so fucking angry when he yet again attempts the same dying swan thing that has never. ever. worked. Players dive, he's no different, but he can't sell them to save his life, so he should know by now he needs to try something else. A dive when he could have squared it, then losing possession for their second goal. He's not at all the reason we lost, but he's a serious weak link. Then when he's on the ball, he dawdles, slows things down and upsets the flow. I really like the lad, but even amongst other limited players he's stuck out like a sore thumb for ages.
  12. We can probably welcome back to the forum dementors after that, they'll have loved it. Better team won, no complaints there. They were up for it and Bruno aside we never looked like bothering our arses to try and find an answer in any significant way. Longstaff again diabolical in key moments in an otherwise average at best performance. You'd think he'd have learned by now that he can't dive for toffee and pack it in, it literally never works. Dubravka: 6 Murphy: 5 Krafth: 6 Schär: 6 Burn: 6 Anderson: 5 Bruno: 7 Longstaff: 3.5 Gordon: 5 Isak: 6 Barnes: 5
  13. Too sloppy basically. Too many poor touches, passes, and decisions, too slow and ponderous. We got better though and Bruno looks like he wants to grab hold of the game, so hopefully things improve second half.
