I think a fully fit Andy Caroll has the ability to score around about 1 in 2, aye. Maybe not with consistency but he could definitely get 15+ in a season. 

His injuries are his problem, not his ability.

He's 25 now, how long is this extended period?

Saying he has the ability to score around 1 in 2 is such a vague statement.  I imagine lots of strikers have the ability to score around 1 in 2.  It basically means nothing.

In regards to Carroll consistently getting 15 goals a season I really can't see him starting 30.

I was criticised on here for praising Adebayor, now if you want a big man, he's got the attributes in his locker that you want rather than being just a big bully. Carroll couldn't lace his boots.

Hmmm.  I am not sure where I could take those 4 months as a snapshot for measuring his ability. By this standard Cisse is a 1 in 1 striker too.

Same. As TT pointed out though, it's depressing that you can't even rely on a local lad staying these days, whether he's forced out or whatever. Can't stand Liverpool but I look at Gerrard and wonder if we'll ever have that again; a top class player staying and performing for years despite not winning all that much. Doubt it. Shearer was the last.

To be fair, Carroll is still young enough to both come back and stay with us for a long time and also return to his form whilst he was with us, so you never know.

Same here. Say if West Ham go down this season, and if there is any justice in this world they will, I'd take him back in a heartbeat. For a nominal fee of course. I for one genuinely believe he was forced out of the club against his will and as someone mentioned above, supporting NUFC hasn't been the same since he left. It kind of proved once and for all that everything is for sale and there is absolutely no integrity or loyalty left in football.
