  1. Yeah, I mean Brighton is our first challenge and we shouldn’t be looking beyond that. However if you are looking at that Man Utd team from last night and in recent weeks, and possibly across the whole season, you would think if we can get Joelinton in midfield, then we should be able to dominate them.
  2. Forge FC, the Canadian team I keep an eye on had the idea to offer schools the chance to apply for free tickets to see a match. They were hoping to do it for the last game of the season, but realised they should test the theory out first. So today they are playing in a Canadian Cup quarter final 1st leg against Montreal (the equivalent of the FA Cup) and asked for schools to apply for the free tickets. They expected to only receive 4,000-6,000 applications. They ended up receiving and giving out to all 11,000 applications. Included in their free entry they also get a meal and drink in the ground. On top of this everyone else who bought a ticket also receives a free meal and drink. The game kicked off at 11am local time so the kids could attend. Absolutely lovely gesture.
  3. Yeah, both places are group stages, the Conference League though is a qualifier/play off round though. You would expect to overcome anyone you meet easily though.
  4. Yeah same. Europa League is the more prestigious of the two, however the Conference League would represent a much more realistic chance of silverware. Another top 6 finish would be excellent though, the top 6 teams get a greater percentage of international TV revenue, so financially it would be great for us. I’d even snap your hand off at a Top 6 finish and getting the Conference League because of the cup result.
  5. Yeah, it’s in our own hands, and in 2 weeks (maybe 3) we’ll know what we get. It’s just you always want to cross that line as soon as possible.
  6. If only West Ham or Spurs had put in a performance against Chelsea and got something out of them, we would be siting pretty now.
  7. As it stands, we have a +25 GD over them.
  8. Have we ever done the league double over them? We have a chance to do it this season, and with it a treble over them for the season.
  9. Aye, not a foul that in my opinion.
  10. Would have disallowed it for him being offside in anyway.
  11. So if Palace do win here, and let’s say we beat Brighton at the weekend, and likely safe to assume Arsenal will beat Man Utd. We could go into our game against them knowing that a draw would guarantee us to finish above them, and likely finish in a European position.
  12. Doncaster 1-0 up against Crewe in the League 2 play offs.
