  1. would love to see Santon on the wing. Basically negates his weaknesses, and he will naturally track back and cover his full back. Looked v.good there against Wigan absolutely rinsed their full back Yep, naturally track back...if there is one thing i associate with Santon, its his tracking back. The speed at which he rushes to track back... I dont mean it in a dickish way tbh, but the one criticism i have is that when he runs forward, he just walks back, even when the opposition is attacking Perhaps, but as he's been played primarily as a FB I'm sure it wont be hard to get him to track back when he's playing as a winger. With more freedom to roam he's at least going to offer more protection than a Marveux though. I take your point but I think he'd be fine. You are right in that he looked great against Wigan there, on the right too as a conventional winger! I guess we will see, but i feel sometime others are a bit too quick to jump on the "convert attacking full back to winger" bandwagon because of Bale. Roberto Carlos and Cafu stayed as full backs and were great

Giaccherini is a great player, but i do think the main reason he looks such a good signing is because we have a shortage of wingers. If he had similar level of ability but was a center-mid (hard to qualify this but you get my point) then I would not be concerned. I hate being THAT person who says these things but Altidore's first good season was in Holland. He has flopped in this league in the past. He may be better but I would say he is unproven with the only evidence so far counting against him. Guidetti could be great if they sign him, or he could be another Bendtner. They all need to gel under a manager with little experience next season. If they get midtable next season, I would begin to worry. As of now, I'm more concerned about us.

I wouldnt have minded Giaccherini myself like as we need width on the left but alot of the others are unknowns at the moment. Altidore is a known unknown (...) i guess as we don't know how he will take to this league THIS time. Huddlestone is a good player but famously unfit, so surely Paolo won't accept it?

    Other clubs' transfers

Guessing its a Giggs, But everywhere reporting Cavani to Chelsea for £49.3mil? A very beautiful man who is a tremendous player. Guessing Torres will end up at Napoli eventually mind
  8. We could sign a player on February 2nd if we wanted...just it would formally go through July 1st. Even massive players like Ronaldo have it all fixed up well before it goes through.
  9. Can't stand this fucking shit. It's laughable that the papers get away with implying it, never mind someone that used to manage the club. It's total and utter bollocks of course. We hate Cockneys - Rob Lee, Les Ferdinand, Warren Barton etc are all despised. I also like his reasoning that he deserved more credit as he bought the players that did well in the championship... Yep, he bought higher-championship players whilst in a relegation battle...not Premiership players... absolute joke. If only we had Geordie Keegan sign another Geordie Ferdinand or Geordie Albert...

I dont see why the mackems are so cocky...we have 2 men at the club with a combined 4 PFA Manager of the year awards
  12. To be honest, with the Cabaye money, we should resign Brian Kerr and bring in Phill Babb...atleast then that can be a bit closer to Kerrbabb....
  13. All this before he's even been confirmed!

Apparently the Vaughan article dubs him the "magpie killer"...yep, the 3rd goal of a 3-0 win...
