  1. Really looked like he'd just had enough
  2. Unfortunately cant see us getting anyone better in...............hes here for the duration. Impressive how shit its got so very quickly. Players dont look like they give a flying fuck either.
  3. That would indicate some degree of planning dont think they have been clever enough for that. Think hes all they could get. If he is anything to do with Carr be like when we bid on players he recommends and we're on the 6th to 8th choice.
  4. Anthony Hudson recommened by Rednapp to the mighty Newport County young English manager seems well regarded by press even though hes been a knacker wherever he has been gives Charnley and FCB the delusion that they are being progressive.............I hope its him and its the disaster it promises to be.

Totally agree If our kids had made it......................I'd still be pissed if our club had fallen so far that our 1st team took part in it. Its the chekatrade or whatever its called.
  6. Maybe not but if bobby had what keegan had no one would have touched us wed have pissed that league for 2 or 3 seasons. Keegans time was unbelievable fun and ultimately typical nufc disappointment but tactically he wasn't on the same planet as Bobby Bobby would'nt have touched us with a bargepole when you consider where Keegan picked us up from quite astounding what he achieved and how far he lifted us dont think anybody else could have done it. I was referring more to the opinion that if bobby was manager for 94/95 or 95/96 or 96/97 with that squad hed have won the league no doubt on at least 2 occasions He was streets ahead as a tactician than Keegan was, When the going got tough with Keegan he crumbled as we seen after the Leeds Game. He was all good when everything was going great and running along smoothly but with other clubs not only us and England of course when things got tough he chucked it Harsh on Keegan he had plenty of tough times in first season and stuck the course turned us around (even with the mini walkout) the last two games of that season where probably the most crucial of our modern history god knows what would have happened had we gone down that year. He was'nt the first International manager to find himself out of his depth at that level I wish Graham Taylor had done the same. Whether Bobby would have done any better is a Moot point mebbes in the two latter years. Just wish that he had succeeded Keegan.

Comparisons with Ferguson ...............Ferguson was a nobody outside Aberdeen and came good must be my favourite quote Scottish Premier Division (3): 1979–80, 1983–84, 1984–85 Scottish Cup (4): 1981–82, 1982–83, 1983–84, 1985–86 Scottish League Cup (1): 1985–86 Drybrough Cup (1): 1980 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1): 1982–83 UEFA Super Cup (1): 1983 When Scottish Football was still competitive...............only thing that SAF and Ross have in common is that they both managed St Mirren
  9. Not much will change, and what little has he has been forced into no epiphany or road to Damascus moment. Zero hour contracts replaced by guaranteed 4 hour contracts for retail staff the warehouse will remain pretty much the same though they may employ a nurse to cut down on recordable ambulance calls.
  10. Rafa remaining here and doing so would be Ashleys best option. A manager the fans respect someone experienced enough to rebuild the club from top to bottom. The money in premier league now would surely dwarfe what it would cost to have a properly run Premier League club. Rafas personal and family circumstances will remain the same whether we are relegated or otherwise and would certainly give him the project he said he wanted and Ashley would be able to fade away into the background if indeed that is what he wants. Not expecting any logical decisions from the powers that be though.
  11. My fear is if Rafa is not retained by hook or by crook, after relegation is certain a statement will be released stating how sorry everyone is but we gave it a right good go this time spending £80m and getting Benitez in then silence. Like last time we will be allowed to drift, Charnley selling whoever he can until Beardsley or any coach who is left is given charge of pre season training then the team for beginning of championship fixtures. Hope that Im wrong and Ashley has realised that the current structure and culture at the club will never work if not cant see Moyes or even Pullis touching the job with a proverbial barge pole.
  12. Sunderlands games Arsenal (h) Stoke(a) Chelsea (h) Everton (h) Watford (a) Norwich Arsenal (a) Man Utd (h) Watford (h) Everton (a) NUFC Man City (h) Liverpool (a) Palace (h) Villa (a) Spurs (h) Feeling hope stirring again Sunderland 4 pts Norwich 4pts ourselves 7 pts though prob still see us relegated on GD cant afford usual spankings in next two games.......praying City have eye on champions league semi final LIverpool do and ourselves Rafa a favour. On paper Sunderland must be favourites to stay up but my relegation meter swinging wildly.
  13. Wish I didn't just feel terrified! Enjoy the moment if Rafa cant get this lot at busting a gut no one can..................feel the hope
  14. Amongst problems we have had is that we had a collection of players with an eye on their next move rather than a team. Cant see Rafa tolerating not putting a shift in or meekly surrendering and accepting a hammering. Keep us up, there is hope now that he can where before there was none, and hes got a long time project on his hands turning things around after the last 8 years think most would agree.
