  1. I enjoyed this back and forth far too much. Quite an interesting read.
  2. Is it not as simple as looking at what Viana has done with Sporting since 2018 to make some judgement (club's success in transfers or on field?) and same with Maldini's period at Milan?

    Just shorten the pitch
  4. As far as I am concerned we don't have a release clause for Isak. You want him? Offer better be as close to a record for a striker in world football as it gets.
  5. As stated in the Isak thread, same applies for Bruno - the entire world of football can cleanly fuck off with any offer for Bruno.

there are often times i won’t even drink before a sport event if my seat isn’t by the aisle because i am deathly afraid of having to go get up for a piss multiple times

Given SJP hasn’t really gotten much investment outside of then new owners pumping a little money in, it’s about as simple as you get. Not comparable at all. I assume Spurs new stadium is about as close as you get to the newer American stadium quality. Been to Wembley and that is quite comparable to American stadiums.
  9. Prefer to put them into just tiers/groups with likely Arteta, Emery never going below that 2nd one, Poch swings to 3rd one often but he’s achieved a great deal in his career. The entire 3rd tier goes up and down and so on. Pep Klopp Arteta Emery Poch Howe ETH Ange De Zerbi Moyes O’Neil Franck Silva Iraola
  10. Let’s be honest though, in what world do you plan for a season where your marquee signing was a closeted gambling addict staring at a season-long ban? Where your potential 10+ goal left wing signing has a 1-off broken bone not seen in footie? Add to that an injury crisis that led the league all season. Then with cups we were dealt a gauntlet torched on fire and were dropped into the group of death of the CL, many tough fixtures in the domestic cups and a January window where we couldn’t strengthen because of the restrictive financial rules placed on us (+ the league) after our owners took over. All of that being said, were a handful of points off a European place with 10 to go, we nearly 10-12 mins away from knockouts of the CL or Europa as consolation, we were 1 min from League Cup Semifinal and made it to the FA Cup Quarterfinals. All in all, while there were periods of just pure fucking trash (Paris screw job all the way to Milan (h) was just pure torture) we gave it a right go this season. Revenge tour begins next season though.
