  1. I think 62 points, with our goal difference, would get 6th. So 15 points over the last 7 matches. Assuming we take maximum points from Burnely and SU (not guaranteed, but it should be the expectation if we're going to pull it off), we would need 9 points from: Spurs (h) Crystal Palace (a) ManU (a) Brighton (h) Brentford (a) Not much room for error... it really may come down to the game at Old Trafford.
  2. In the last 9 seasons, 63 points would be enough for 6th place in all of those seasons (the highest point total of a 7th place team is 62 points). We have the best goal difference of those around us, so 62 would likely do it. To get there, we would need 19 points from 9 matches. Not impossible, but not much margin for error (especially with 5 of the 9 games being away, and our injury situation).
  3. Almost as clear a pen as you will see 😂
  4. Think he just needs a rest to get the best back out of him. He's been trotted out and run into the ground every match this season.
  5. The increased number of fixtures, plus having something of a target on our back, meant that this was always likely to be a "retrenching" year. We've probably had the most challenging ficture list in the world (PL + CL Group of Death + Tough LC Draws), while having a terrible injury crisis and having our highest profile summer signing banned. Getting into the Europa league was my expectation for this season. That is still very possible, especially as the fixture list lightens up and injured players return. Given all that I think Eddie has done a fine job.
  6. Dubs Tripper Botman Burn Livramento Miley Bruno Longstaff Almiron Joelinton Isak Thoughts?
  7. Love Almada but don’t think his style fits EHs system. Doesn’t quite have the workrate on defense.
  8. kind of crazy he's been so so good this season but only scored a single goal (vs sheffield utd)
  9. I think Wilson was intentionally withdrawn vs Dortmund to manage his game time as opposed to injury.
  10. Pope Tripps Lascelles Schar Livramento Joelinton Longstaff Willock Almiron Gordon Wilson Bench: Dummett, Ritchie, Hall, Krafth, Manquillo, Miley
  11. On an equivolent fixture basis, we are actually 4 points better off thus far than last year, swapping Sheffield (a) + Burnley (h) for Southampton (a) + Leicester (h). Looking at the next 8 matches, we secured 20 / 24 points last season, including wins vs Man Utd (h), Chelsea (h), Tottenham (a). Not a ton of room for error for top 4. But top 5...
