  1. 0% chance we'll have three strikers of the calibre of Isak, Sesko & Guirassy next season. I'm not sure there is another team in the league with three strikers at that level. Wilson out and Guirassy in would be a slightly risky, but potentially smart move.
  2. I don't think we can catch Tottenham, but I do think 10 points from our last six, given who we're playing, is a little pessimistic. We've picked up 10 from our last 5 which included Chelsea and Tottenham. Edit: and if you have Man Utd down to beat us, then I don't think 10 points will be enough for 6th either.
  3. Match is in 10 days. Not sure Olise can survive that long without getting injured.
  4. What if we loaned 1 million to PIF and they paid it back with 1000% interest?
  5. I thought it was kind of similar in that PSG kept playing it out from the back even though our press kept catching them out. They never learnt and they were eventually punished. Spurs were the same.
  6. Logically, I think you're right. But I am desperate for us to sign another top-class attacking player.
  7. I must admit I sometimes search Twitter for Isak's name to laugh at Arsenal fans going on about him, as I think there is a 0% chance we'll sell him. I could see Bruno going if someone bid 100m, but I don't think there is any way we'll sell Isak. We owe too much on him from an FFP perspective and his value has not peaked. It wouldn't make any sense.
  8. While I get what you're saying, I hate this whole 'better footballer' because of 'technical ability'. Scoring goals is part of being a footballer and no one has done it like Shearer in the prem. There is also a tonne that Shearer was better at than Isak.
  9. 1) when Shearer signed for us he arguably was the best striker in the world. He was literally the world record transfer. 2) Isak is not the best striker in the world. I love him, he's brilliant. But he hasn't even bagged 20 league goals in a season in his career yet. You can't be saying he's the best striker in the world or better than Shearer
  10. I'm sorry but that's absolute nonsense.
  11. But the PIF could sell us a property at fair market value, and then sell it back to themselves at fair market value. If it only counts to FFP one way then we'd still profit from it on FFP terms.
  12. If infrastructure spending doesn't count negatively towards ffp, but selling buildings does count positively, can the PIF sell a bunch of buildings to the club and then buy them back?
  13. Will Targett likely be sold? Is it not pretty much the worst time possible to sell him?
  14. We could presumably subsidies his wages. It would still mean a fee and a reduction of what we pay him.
