  1. Fair point. I quite like the idea of Freedman but that’s only going off what he’s done in relation to English signings.
  2. Point taken but Nickson is pretty good on European markets though isn’t he (even if he doesn’t have the champions league experience)
  3. Will be great when this is finally sorted.
  4. We are a very attractive option for a player currently - the ambition, the atmosphere in the ground, the fact that players will see other players improving under Howe. If it’s purely a financial decision then we’ll lose out but we can still offer him a solid contract. It’ll be interesting to see if this goes through.
  5. Im pretty confident we’ll get back into the champions league next season.
  6. Yeah dead man walking, talks complete nonsense
  7. Clubs usually get wind that a player is interested but I agree it’s far from certain he ends up with us.
  8. Unless they’ve kept it very quiet I’d imagine it would’ve come out by now.
  9. Yeah spot on, agree with all of that. Well it’s all about to happen pretty soon anyway so we’ll see what Howe and the club is planning. A far cry from the Ashley years. Dear oh dear 😂
  10. Because the premier league are wankers?
  11. Agree with that but no striker? One option might be keep Wilson and bring in a RW who can play striker too. I still think in cashing in on Wilson makes the most sense and buying another 2nd striker. Keeping Wilson and bringing in another striker would be ideal but perhaps unrealistic.
  12. I think I’ve seen a few saying he’s not that quick but I’ve not got that impression at all? He certainly doesn’t look slow. His positioning and defensive awareness is only going to improve but there’s no doubting his technical ability. A great player to watch for natural talent. Assuming he’s starting it’ll be interesting to see how he does in the next 3 games particularly Saturday and Man Utd away. We are going to have to defend a lot more than the last few games.
  13. They’ve got it right before too. Either way he looks like a really positive exciting option for the club moving forwards.
  14. Yeah I can’t see him staying, the irony being he’s just built a house in Darras hall but that means bugger all with footballers wages/new contracts. With us almost certainly bringing in a solid number 2 starter he’ll be limited to likely European games and 20-30 sub appearances. As a 3rd striker that works perfectly but as others have pointed out for FFP we need to move him on. It wouldn’t surprise me entirely either if a RW comes in who can play up front too.

    Dan Burn

The rumours about Kelly are pretty strong too and assuming he comes in he’ll be far better suited to deputise at LB if needed as he can play either position but is also quick.
