Club started to disintegrate the day Mort left

Why though? What do you know about the other candidates that makes them sound a better proposition than someone like Ross? I'm not sure how we'd ever know the answer to that.

Would rather burn £20 in front of the cunt.

Based off the article posted earlier I'd be happy enough with it. He's worked under Ashworth and somewhat understands the role, having spent time at the club he knows our pros and cons. It's a safe appointment that we know would be up and running on day 1. It's not a super critical role imo, it's importance has been inflated by sky sports news' reporting of the ashworth situation because they had no actual player transfers to discuss. If you've already got a great manager, great academy head, great general coaching & scouting setup I'm not sure how much an established, reputable sporting director can actually add over someone like Jack Ross. Jimmy Foreigner isn't coming in and suddenly telling Nickson how to scout or Harper how to run our academy. Yes we need one, I'm just not sure we need someone unfamiliar to the club, league & country in general right now. Unless I'm completely missing something.

I'm happy for Jack Ross to be promoted after reading that article posted earlier.

At least it would be interesting.

You'd be better off finding a puddle outside the metro and drinking from that.

It's almost like Kevin Phillips was a bad appointment.

Dunk was statistically England's second worst player against Brazil, along with actually looking poor. He's fucked up again tonight. As if anyone's struggling to understand why he's on the receiving end of some flak

Ones a Chelsea player, the other a Newcastle player. We all know which one the vanilla emptyhead will go with.

He's Mike Williamson levels but playing for a fashionable club.

Ahem, don't forget the patron saint of Blyth

I'll never forget when he said Wonga as shirt sponsor clashed with his Muslim beliefs, then he was pictured gambling in Aspers He was brilliant one minute and absolutely horseshit the next. Desperate for him out the team by the end of his time here. His first 6 months were electric though. When he banged in his first goal past Shay you had a feeling.
