Not sure why but got the feeling from Eddie’s press conference today that we can spend in the summer. Now whether that’s because we’ll make a big sale or not, just didn’t find him as dismissive as usual. Could just be me mind.

I think you’re bang on, it was a very good performance and you can see he’s got a lot of ability but still showed some rawness and lack of experience at times which is completely understandable. I think we’ll probably look back and think EH has managed him perfectly - like we have on many occasions with Howe.

Was in the Leazes corner and was pretty decent, more so in the second half. Like ON says, was pretty loud for the 'Stand Up' and some of Milburn you could see joining in but just didnt seem to take off for some reason. Was swiftly followed by a rendition of 'sing your hearts out for the lads' in the Strawberry corner I think which was good to hear. Also enjoyed, 'you fucking laughed when we went down, who the fuck is laughing now' , first time I've heard that, was decent. Good atmosphere overall, was expecting it to be a bit flat for some reason.
