Went to watch a random top flight game in Cyprus, between a side already safe and another already relegated. Finished 6-6, could have been far more. Definitely one of the oddest games I've ever been to, and by a long way the highest scoring. One of those where you wouldn't be surprised in years to come to find out that numerous players were involved in a spot fixing scandal.

Amazed we didn't lose by more tbh the amount of times Eze had Krafth exposed.

You simply can't measure offsides to that degree of accuracy on a frame by frame basis. It's utterly absurd. That decision could made on or off depending on which frame you choose. Automated offsides will probably introduce an accepted form of arbitration if they're done quickly, like goal line tech, and are probably the best solution now the cat is out of the bag. However I still think it's total nonsense. Offside was introduced to stop attackers gaining advantage by goal hanging, it was never supposed to be something that was an exact science.

Yeah it's not like Gateshead wouldn't be potentially able to renew the lease with a new owner, or work towards an alternative ground going forward. If anything they'd have more chance of doing so as an EFL club than as a blacklisted non league club with a glass ceiling now. It'll kill the club. Depressing and shit situation all-round. Financially cash strapped local council forced to sell off public assets which could effectively kill the local club that relies on it.

I wasn't able to watch the game as on the train, only just seen the offside decision now. That isn't offside imo. Var goes completely against the actual intention of the offside rule.

Council have fucked them over. However the rule about a 10 year lease is also completely arbitrary and ridiculous.
