  1. Aye the crowd not losing their minds over one average season after what preceded it are the overly sensitive ones. Load of bollocks, as per.
  2. Had it on about an hour, it is the ultimate background telly It has bits from the studio before, during and after the games so I've been reminded of context around the games I'd forgotten all about. Lineker and Shearer shitting themselves before the 1-4 vs Germany and Hansen saying just chill as you've got the better players and just need to perform Lineker reading out statements from Blatter about technology after the Lampard non-goal and scoffing is very interesting post-var introduction.
  3. Wew just noticed the classic WC channel on iplayer, playing highlights of old games all day https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/l0058cy5/fifa-world-cup-2026-classic-world-cup-channel
  4. Spurs finished 16 points off 6th in a season where they went 15 games without a win.
  5. Could end up costing 4.75m Euros per vowel which we can all agree is a bit steep.
  6. Seems extremely early to be calling this.
  7. You're unusual then, at least on here. Almost nobody gave the slightest fuck. Most were more bothered about losing Minteh.
  8. This narrative of players being happily sold on to bigger clubs is a lot more true of Bournemouth and Brentford than Brighton imo. Cucurella was priced out of a move to Man City, only Chelsea would pay the price which was very high at the time. Caicedo is a very good player but his fee was sky high too and it took a few windows of speculation for him to move. Seeing similar with Baleba now, except his chance of moving to Man Utd appears to have fizzled out.
  9. Well done for sticking it out til the 4th of June to make your mind up though.
  10. Him and Howe had long been pen pals. Wise up. Hall must have started >90% of the games he was available for last season. To the extent I was worried we were overplaying him, multiple times
  11. I really couldn't care less about this "we want to be number 1" thing. It sounds like something a child would say and I'm happy to treat it as such. Certainly not holding them to it over every little development at the club. Twice under Ashley our goal was to be #1 in the Championship. What we've seen since are our relative glory years and I'm not personally wasting them twisting, worrying and moaning about everything. The sponsorship stuff sounds a slight concern, not ideal but then you'd have said the same or worse about the training ground or stadium a month or 2 back before some news trickled out. PIF seem to operate slowly, talk a load of bollocks and that's before we get started on the horrible human rights issues etc. But as a fan all I longed for under Ashley was a club operating to improve itself, spending what it could on transfers and wages to make it as sportingly competitive as it could be. We've had that so far and then some. "Fuck PIF" when the previous 14 years we were a zombie club, howay man.
