() I was sad when we moved him on but given we replaced with the complete opposite in Barnes who is all end product and no frills, I think we did the right thing ultimately. Don't think he was good enough at pressing for Eddie's style and his relative lack of goals and assists wasn't enough to overlook that longer term. Hope he does well in the MLS as he's clearly a nice fella who sees his time here as the pinnacle of his career, and he's great fun to watch when he's having an "on" day. Definitely one of those players who you can tell 2 minutes after kick-off what sort of game he's going to have from his first few touches.

Too risky IMO. He's about the only front player who guarantees you 10 goals at the minute if he plays 80%+ of games. If we make some good moves this summer and sort out the attacking lineup I could see him being flogged next summer.

Seems a hell of a risk to bullet the guy who's just spent 9 months understanding the state of play at the club and who has a good record in the Championship for someone unproven in England. Might yet work out as a masterstroke but it's a horrible division to get out of, the new fella will need to sign the right sort of player and learn fast.
