So torn about him. If he's going to sulk and his form will be like the last 6 months then anything over £80m is far better invested elsewhere. But the player we had in the second half of 2024/25 was hard to fathom losing. Ultimately I don't want anyone here come August who isn't 100% in.

I know its mostly just online discourse, but I find the level of anger, the disrespect, and some of the words used about him embarrassing. Fair enough if someone thinks he's taken us as far as he can, but he's given everything and treated the club and city with nothing but respect. He deserves far better.

The training ground deal helps offset the damage a bit in year 1. Years 2 and 3 are solid if you accept the difficult conditions narrative (which we'll see from other clubs). The worst part of this deal is it's perfectly constructed to fit anyone's narrative of the club whether positive or negative. Let the debates commence.

Has more technique than speed based on my quick highlights viewing. If anything I'd be concerned about whether his speed translates to the PL, but seems to accelerate well with the ball.

In just a few minutes of highlights I've seen him score from 25 yards out with his right, blast one in with his left, score on a header, and cross with both feet. That'll do.
