  1. Paqueta gave the ball away so many times in that first half. Lucky not to have been hooked.
  2. Annoys me as well. Always find it odd when bang average people seem to have great success within their profession. He's an awful host when I've seen him on various things like talk sport etc. Gives really annoying forced opinions when as a host you really should be letting the experts speak more and keep your uninformed opinion to yourself. Lacks any real personality and doesn't have a great commentator voice like some of the past main men. Feels like he gets all these roles by default and is on shitnloads of channels so you can't escape him. Don't get me started on Dixon as well. Thought we'd escaped the Lawro style of co comms
  3. Why is it always "Dan N'Doye" And never just "N'Doye" Like other players. Noticed it during the season as well it's a really weird thing with the commentators. Might be just matterface to be fair.
  4. I'd forgotten how fucking savage that game was. Getting twatted 7-1 in your home tournament in a semi final. There was something like 4 goals in 12 minutes or something and was 5:0 at half time was it and went to 7-0 before the consolation goal. Brutal. Think that broke Brazil for a very long time. They might still be broken

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Ooof. Indeed. Hadn't considered that. I'll settle for another serious Isak injury.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

We need Wissa and Elanga to have strong world cups and see if we get any guillable buyers.
  7. Anyone hear this the othe day? Can't stand Dixon hes the new Mark Lawrenson thinking he's funny and being depressed to watch football but I thought he was about to get cancelled here 🤣

    England

This is a pretty good interview. Both guys come across really well and interesting how they talked about Henderson etc.
  9. His legs were shot when he left us. He had already lost that explosive speed that made him so effective in his earlier days with us due to too many injuries unfortunately. Which is why he was no longer effective for an Eddie team and why he has bounced around different teams in weaker leagues ever since.
  10. Yep was a terrible idea when we did it with Souness and I can see this going the same way. I mean how do they sidestep Vini Jr receiving racist abuse and Mourinho essentially saying "nah, he's making it up"
  11. The few follow up fixtures look even worse than this. South Korea vs Czech, Canada vs Bosnia. I'd normally watch pretty much every game when possible in the old 32 team format. But there's so much crap this time I think I will end up skipping a bulk of the group stages.
  12. Didn't Atletico sign him for £90m (pounds) last summer and he's been class? Not sure how €100m (euros) gets anywhere close.
  13. I have question marks about his ultimate quality and potential. But I think some of his performances this year in the Champions League will be what has caught the attention of some of these big sides. He's far more likely to have Qarabag esque performances against the small teams in Spain or Germany than he would against any Premier league teams. Plus his pace and pressing are really desired assets in today's game. It will be a shame we let him go for what was rumoured to be the price for Liverpool two years ago when we ultimately ended up selling Minteh and Anderson. Obviously with hindsight we should have just sold then if we are selling for the same price now. Always thought he had high potential and higher levels to reach here but if he doesn't improve his composure and finishing then he will never truly reach elite level. Too many times he would sky or scuff shots this season in open play. Have strong feeling Tuchel will start him as his main winger and he's gonna have a good World Cup. Just whether it's worth the risk for the sake of maybe an extra £10-15m we could get if we wait compared to selling early and bagging our replacements as soon as possible.
  14. From Newcastle perspective or in general? For Newcastle it's been really shite but in general it's almost been an all timer. Spurs staying up when they should and could have gone, Arsenal set piecing their way to winning the league, Sunderland coming up after years away and doing the double over us and getting Europa League, Celtic winning the league... Again etc. etc.
  15. I would be utterly astounded if Elanga ever comes good for us. Have zero expectations that he is going to turn his career here around.
