  1. I would in hindsight have got rid of Gordon to Liverpool but at the time he was a vital player
  2. So do i He did most stuff he needed to well Even elsewhere he's been credited with good stuff He was against Amorim He brokered Sanchos truce between Ten bag and him when all seemed messy and finished If man u hadn't taken him we wouldn't have had a bad few years in the market
  3. Been quite the journeyman in the end We are the highest profile club he ended up playing for
  4. Chiesa available for 18m. Worth the stab at RW / LW?
  5. His fellow countryman, Mike Maignan would be amazing, he's older and experienced and French speaker too Play a few seasons then Jouen will be ready to step in Someone like Trafford would be pointless as he's young enough to be no.1 for a long time
  6. This is why we got Wilson he did such a number on us we said you need to be working for us fella
  7. Hear me out Honestly think Sancho would be worth a punt He's free, only 25 years old, and Howe is perfect for his development and to put an arm around him etc. Not saying he is a Gordon replacement but has the pedigree and for a two year deal it's worth to see if he can get anywhere near his Dortmund form. Away from the limelight it could be possible?
  8. The thing is, the players we tried to sign are not too 'elite' - it's not as though we were trying to sign Osimhen and Kvaratshelia Joao Pedro is not yet elite, neither is Ekitike - they are kind of where Isak was when we first bought him. Trafford is also not there yet. Delap is definitely not there. Mbuemo and Cunha are also both attainable, and we were a step up from Brentford and Wolves. Dean Hujisen normally would be attainable after one solid season at Bournemouth but you can't compete with Real Madrid especially for a Spaniard. Sesko has long been considered an elite striker in the making, and Man U only came in because they had their eyes on him for years - if we hadn't gone for him, they would have waited another summer. I would have considered Bruno, Isak, Tonali higher than the players we tried and failed to get last summer. It was a mixture of not having the wage structure, and perhaps our change in policy to buy more established (normally the elite clubs do that) - perhaps we are not quite seen on that level externally yet.
  9. Knowing our luck it will be that new guy we've signed for next year, Johan Martinez
  10. Also had bier hoff
  11. Did South Africa qualify? If so they would have had Mark Fish too
  12. Also he'd be fuming that he's Gordons replacement whilst Gordon is his
  13. Even Ballon Dor winning England's number 1 golden boot winner Michael Owen at his peak only went for 8m to RM from Liverpool
  14. Just need to add Rush and Beardsley to the list and the list of Liverpool legends who also played/affiliated with Newcastle in 1996 and 1997 would.be complete Very sad news
