I was also in the block right next to the away fans last night - L7J
Firstly I thought the atmosphere was very good. However I couldn't believe the amount of Southern Asian/East Asian there. Many with half and half scarves. It was as if the universities got a hundred tickets for their foreign students. All of them seemed to be sitting together, as in not random single seats on their own. I was too busy celebrating the Barnes goal to see how they reacted. Although one East Asian couple were stood smiling, politely clapping. What I did notice was the amount of phone footage taken, especially zooming in on Barca players when they were attacking the Leazes end. One guy in front of me was looking at his snapchat more than the match itself. No singing or reaction to anything going on, on the field.
Again I was too pissed off at the penalty and the ref to see who might have celebrated it.
Sad state of affairs if this is the way this is going. There are many fans for many years who would have loved to have been there.
