people call it a bad season, but i think its just come to the natural end of a cycle. no matter who we sign, i reckon Eddie goes with the same players for the first 4-6 games before the newbies get starts. the players that let us down last season will still by and large be starting.

he's a great listen but a lot of stuff gets repeated at his talk ins.

always thought Eddie got the wrong winger to player striker. should have been Barnes over Gordon. better in the air, better finisher. whilst Gordon was more effective on the wing.

its the end of a natural cycle. same coaches, same message, same players. happens to the best of them... wenger, clough etc. even ranieri was sacked after winning the prem.. only fergie lasted long. he wasnt a coach himself but he made sure the coaches he did have were changed regularly. time to break it up and inject a little jeopardy into the situation. club needs reawakening. ruthlessness, rather than sentiment. i'm not even sold on Ross. whats on his CV that makes him a catch? and his relationship with Eddie seems too cosy. Eddie needs challenging if he is staying.
