  1. Think the club aren't reading the room particularly well when it comes to corporate seating/tickets. They've hiked the prices, year on year, but don't seem to realise this isn't London and most of the users of this space are not 'corporate' in the traditional sense, they're just savvy local business owners with a few quid to spend. I know of at least 3 'companies' walking away from their 'corporate' seats this season because they're not happy with the price hikes and have spoken to a couple more who won't tolerate much more of a % increase. Whilst there's a waiting list for boxes (a long one at that), I don't think they really 'get' what 'corporate' really means in the context of Newcastle and local business owners. They're generally not blokes in suits spending other peoples money for entertainment purposes, they tend to be local business owners who understand the value of a pound. I don't see Google, Nike, BT etc fighting amongst themselves for a table in the same room as Hopkinson and Co. in the way they might be if this was a Chelsea/Arsenal/Spurs tbh. If you look at Wembley's corporate offering, virtually every sale is to a massive brand (understandably too given the location/prestige of the games there) but NUFC will never have that demand imho.

We definitely left money on the table in the Gordon deal imho but I think it suits everyone to get it done asap and to do it in the 'right' way after last summer. I cannot fathom us wanting to do a deal for Hall irrespective of the figures involved but we'll soon see what the intentions are.

Well he's just seen Gordon get a top deal for a better club and he's already of the same level despite being younger. Hold on another year and he could well join a team with CL winning aspirations.

100% agree. I'd be GUTTED to lose him. If Gordon can get that move to Barca, you'd have to think Hall could have better options that Man U in a year or two too. The source that told me also said 'NUFC have already agreed a deal for his replacement'. As I say, this was pre-Fulham away and I'm hoping it's bad info.

    Lewis Hall

FWIW, I was told before the last game of the season that Fulham would be the last time he'd be playing for us. Sincerely hope that's wholly incorrect but it was from a good source. For me, there's only him, Miley and Bruno I'd be bothered about keeping and the fee thats been associated with the Hall rumours is a fucking scandal. He's an elite level prospect.
  6. I'm convinced they'd have been in for Gordon if he was staying in the PL. I don't see Tino moving the needle for them at all tbh. Particularly given that they're going for progress next year. He's not someone who improves a CL finalist to a CL winner imho.

There's not a corner of the globe I wouldn't travel from to make sure I'd be there for any KK SJP return. My hero. Mr Newcastle United. The man who started it all for me... There will never be another.
  8. Osula for individual brilliance but the other one I loved was Woltemade’s dink over Pickford. A goal that’ll live long in the memory imho.
  9. Aye. He’d actually be a perfect fit for them tramps tbh.
  10. Aye - some of the worst crosses a CL final has ever seen, all night too . Thankfully the right outcome. Cannot stand that Lego headed prick prancing up and down the touchline without repercussion every single game.
  11. I think he’ll be excellent for you and predict over time the transfer fee will begin to look very good value. He’ll do bombs in La Liga. Stand out qualities are he’s a pressing machine, very quick, direct and can play two positions well. Negatives, not that this will matter to you guys, but he’s all about number 1. He’ll only do what suits him, when it suits him and if it’s in his own best interest. There’s nowhere ‘up’ from Barca though so he’ll no doubt perform for you 90% of the time and you’ll like him. Gets a slightly unfair rap from some folks but there’s a reason he’s going to one of the best clubs in the world imho.
  12. Aye - him delivering crosses from the left and Elanga from the right would have me terrified tbh. We'd need to issue complimentary crash helmets for every cunt in the lower two tiers of the Milburn and East Stand.
  13. The lad can deliver a ball but half the time it just looks like he puts his head down and whips in a ball to me. Doesn't seem all that thought through...
