I hadn't seen Joe White is going on loan to Bradford along with Ashby. Hadnt realised he's 23. I guess this is just him getting farmed out until is contract expires if he's not properly broken in to the first team at this point.

Oh yeah!?

They're all just waiting on Sir Alex's call back to tell them they can.

Could be wrong but it might be a reasonable help tbf. I think the main benefit is that if his original transfer fee was £35m, the remaining year and a half's amortisation (£10.5m-ish) now gets spread across the next 4 and a half years so brings it down to ~£2.3m, saving £8m or so p.a.? Obviously there's still the wages on top so the ultimate outcome depends on how much his wages have increased by but I'd hazard a guess he's not wangled a huge jump given the circumstances. --- Ignoring the finances though, I'm happy with this. I'm not writing him off until hes had a solid run without injuries to see if he's just a bit rusty or that's just him now. He's more than worth waiting to find out, though. Crazy that he's already 26, mind. I think he's just been permanently 23 in my mind.

Is the wonderkidult injured again or is he now so far out of favour that Eddie won't even consider him during an injury crisis?

It's probably a harsh perspective but he's out of contract at the end of this season, isn't he? I don't imagine we're offering him a new one so if Boro have kindly got him match fit, we might as well make use of him while we can, even if Lewis stays fit and he ends up mostly bench filler.

Feels like we go through pretty much every role beyond the first team coaching staff like hot dinners.
