  1. CUNTS. This would not have happened to Chelsea or Arsenal. Guaranteed.
  2. Class that. Their last minute winner won me a few quid, but hats off to you.
  3. Watched the Reserves last night, got 11/8 for them doubled with Bolton 8/13. Just under 40 quid for a 10a. That El-Mhanni has all the potential in the world. Could go either way, but technically outstanding.
  4. FFS is on twitter. It is him, he's only got 400 followers like, but two of them are Rooney and Shearer. @freddyshepherd1
  5. Sturm Graz did me for £100. They were the shortest priced team too at 4/11, they would've 3 points clear at the top, with the opposition fighting relegation. Time to leave the Swiss league alone.
  6. The same plane was used by the Argentinian National Team just a few weeks ago according to the The Telegraph.
  7. I know loads of negative people who thrive on something horrific happening globally or locally, but what happened earlier this morning in Colombia has really got to me. Think of it like this people who know football. Imagine the toon getting to the Europa League Final. It would be a huge part of our history. This small Brazilian side Chapecoense, who have never won anything, fly to Colombia for this huge game, 81 on the plane, including 20 players 10 directors, physio's etc...and the plane crashes a day before the game killing 76 people. Death is horrific, it doesn't matter when or where it is, but I just put myself in the eyes of the Brazilian supporters, and it will be the worst day in many peoples lives. RIP the 76. I hope the club come back. This club have lost everyone bar one player, Man Utd didn't even lose this many in 1958, and it's still vividly remembered by all from that era and people from our era.
  8. The Sultan of Brunei and his son were often mentioned as Newcastle fans a decade ago. Shame he never bought us like.
  9. Brilliant that. 2,700 there on a Newcastle at home day.
  10. I don't know if they have that good a history to be honest. They've won fewer trophies than 16 clubs. 6 trophies, and 5 of them were over 10 year spell mid 60s to mid 70s. It's alright, but we have more identity than them, won a lot more, granted most of it too long ago. most of our trophies were won in short spells. They have a decent haul of cups, not massive, but decent. Ok they have been known to change their colours in the past and only started playing in white in the 60's, but still they have decent history. They have a good following as well, what you have to remember about Leeds is that 50% of the population is lost to rugby, also it's in the M62 corridor so you have plenty of other clubs near it, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Sheffield Wednesday all historically big clubs in near proximity. You also have many other clubs near them all trying to capture supporters from the same area, Huddersfield and Bradford in there, and to lesser extent and more recently Hull, Doncaster, Barnsley, Rotherham, and Middlesbrough. In hindsight the crowds Leeds get are impressive, considering what they have been through over the last 10-15 years as well. They don't impress me, and you're right it's not a football town despite it's 900,000 population. Fans of knives they were in the 70s and 80s, even though my brother in law (who lives in London) is Leeds through and through, I've got nothing but contempt for them. Sunderland are a far better club in my eyes.

  12. Absolutely spot on, by far and away the most overrated club in English football history. You often hear and see the phrase "Newcastle have won fuck all", well we've won a lot more than 6 trophy Leeds. I've been to Leeds loads of times. The 3-4 is obviously memorable and always will be. We were top of the league before the game and they were second. However I enjoyed the one the season before just as much. They were unbeaten for something like 12 months in the league, and we were mid table and struggling. Robbie Keane scored in the first minute, and we thought here we go, but a CLARENCE ACUNA driven toon, saw us come back and win 1-3. Shola came on and scored a beauty that's how bizarre it was. Given Barton Hughes Goma Quinn Solano Lee Acuna Speed Ameobi Gallacher That was the side, not even as good a toon side as we have now. The only reason Leeds competed in the Premier League for 3 or 4 seasons was money that they couldn't afford. They've paid the price ever since. As for the actual game, aye they've put a few results together lately, but 2-0 home wins over Burton and a fortnight ago 1-1 draws at home to WIGAN ATHLETIC in front of 19,000, hardly makes me worry about this game. They seriously don't have one player who would improve our squad, so I for one will be hugely disappointed if we don't get a win down there.

    England

There's a lot of people who are vehemently anti-mackem, and I'm one of them. Jordan Henderson is probably the most overrated footballer I can remember, how he is rated far higher than Shelvey is a mystery. We need creativity in the England, Shelvey has it, does Henderson? Not for me. He's an athlete up and down the pitch, but so is Sissoko and he's s**** as well.
  14. One of the worst away followings I've ever seen up here. Especially considering it was a Saturday 3pm match. Aston Villa was the worst one I can remember. It was the game when Ben Arfa scored an absolute screamer in a 1-1 draw in 2012. Villa brought about 800 max. Fulham are absolutely pathetic but they don't scream about being huge, and neither do Cardiff. Aston Villa tell everyone they're the Real Madrid of the Midlands, when the truth is their club has so little character and support, they should wear all brown rather than claret and blue.
