  1. Permanent move Was watching their game vs Bayern and they announced it was made permanent. https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2024/official-psg-striker-hugo-ekitike-secures-permanent-transfer-to-eintracht-frankfurt/ Ekitike joined Eintracht in January as part of a season-long loan with an option to buy for a reported €16.5m fee, according to L’Equipe.
  2. Transfer to Eintracht has been made official.
  3. Didn’t get many minutes when he first started with Frankfurt (due to fitness), but has been playing more minutes recently, and playing a bigger role. Frankfurt probably happy with his development and then it just comes down to a price,
  4. Asking if they’ve ever had a new manager bounce https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/new-manager-bounce.1628328/ The’ve had so many managers recently they forgot about all the pre-derby changes
  5. I’d establish the level of the fee using “Lingards”. 6 months loan, £2m plus survival bonus of £12m So to get Dan earlier than his 2 1/2 years remaining… that’s 5x£2m plus 2 1/2 times the bonus $30m.
  6. Nah, you gotta take time to write down the number and reason code for the yellow. No way does a referee remember everything. plus the extra time to write things down gives the players a litle more time to cool their emotions etc. I once sent off a player for two yellows (thought I had miss-written his number) when he made a second yellow card foul, only to have the his identical twin brother come back off the bench saying he got the first yellow (and I had the number right the first time).
  7. Definitely this…. Make the decision/thought process open so everyone can hear the discussion and see the same images that the VAR team are reviewing. Knowing that your discussion is public (and therefore open to review) wil force more accountability.
  8. Advance the free kick 10 yards closer to goal (non offending team discretion) for back chat, failure to retreat. Repeat as needed. Return to Penalty kick taker having to make a continuous motion - no stutter. You never see stutter in an open play 1:1 so don’t see why it’s allowed in PK. Or allow GK to move as soon as runup starts. Would trial blue cards… and/or would trial automatic 5/10 min Sin bin for all physical fouls. Need something punishing to offender but less drastic/severe than Red Card. Might even add a limit (5 fouls=ejection etc). (And yes, I am fully aware that I’m replicating rugby and ice hockey rules… they just seem to work.
  9. Yeah, it’s from last season. i was just wishing that they continue into this season and feature the derby day fewm
  10. Imagine the episode covering the derby. The fewm over the number of tickets, the North Stand end, the Black Cats bar would be amazing TV. please please please make this an episode 😆
  11. And as a schoolboy in the early 80s…. The name “rush goalies” always confused me as Ian Rush never played goalie
  12. Being pedantic… goalies are not restricted from playing out /up field. They are just the only ones permitted to use their hands which is why their shirt is a different color. But they can go anywhere on the field they want. So by definition then rush-goalies has to be first-man-back. Else it’s just the keeper playing up/back [/pedant]
  13. ESPN commentators were Ian Darke and Steve McManaman
  14. It goes back 20ish years and a photo of two “large” Newcastle fans wearing their b/w striped shirts and they have food stains down the front. I’ve tried to find this photo or the first mention of Gravy on RTG but their history doesn’t go back that far.
