  1. Coach

    Jak Alnwick

We won't survive with Alnwick the next many games. Tottenham has figured him out. Shoot and you'll score or get af rebound=goal. Woodman in unfortunately.
  2. Spurs is all about Eriksen. Close him down and we got a shot at this. Tiote might to big of a risk considering his at times violent tackling. Eriksen will put one in if he gets a free kick around the box. I'm on Abeid for this one - but Pardew will pick Tiote.
  3. Played Winston Reid once. He was my direct opponent as he was playing left back at the time. A beast and he completely destroyed me. I did score our one goal in a 1-13 rout though He's by far the best I've met, but I've met several who made it into the danish Superliga.
  4. Kjaer has great potential but he still to errorprone IMO. But very strong 1v1 and played probably his best international vs Czech Republic. Has had a tough time under Magath ind Wolfsburg (Who wouldn't) but has been on the up the last couple of months. Eriksen needs a move away from Eresdivisie in the summer. He is very aware of his own development, and wouldn't make the big move(Manchester, Chelsea and so on) unless he felt ready for it. And he isn't ready. Clubs like Spurs, Liverpool and Newcastle could be destinations as he needs minutes on the pitch. That being said, I'm not sure we would be able to match the €15-20m fee that Ajax would be demanding - and I don't think it's a position we would look to strenghen.
  5. Apparently we have a scout in the stands in Denmark vs Bulgaria. Young striker Andreas Cornelius is probably the best bid.
  6. Good player - would take him in a heartbeat. We really need someone who has pace and athleticism at centre back. What's he like as far as those attributes are concerned? He is quite average in those attributes, that you mention, but he makes up for it by having a good football-brain, so he reads the game really good. Furthermore he is really aggressive in his way of playing and he follows trough in every tackles that he makes. In Denmark he is viewed as one of the biggest defender talents since Daniel Agger. The downside is that he is a Chelsea supporter I disagree. One of his biggest assets is his pace. He is young so he still makes mistakes, but has been able to recover with good speed for a CB. He is very strong, and is great 1v1. He still has tons to learn but is capable of learning fast and you don't often see him do the same mistake twice. I'd say get him. He has loads of upside, and haven't been playing top level for a very long time - but still has been playing at a very high level. He's young, and as a dane it would give a lot of media attention towards Newcastle back here :-)
  7. According to co.uk he was outstanding in the 5-10 minutes he got. Promising stuff from GingerMidget!
  8. So what if we lost this match. Campbell came on and apparently did well.
  9. According to danish media sporten.dk Lille is after FC Copenhagen left back Bryan Oviedo. Same story tells that Lille wants current left back Franck Béria as their right back. Therefore Debuchy = Newcastle.
  10. To be fair - it looked like the shot was deflected.
  11. I know how it usually goes in their system - but in 1-2 years time he will maybe be out of our reach.
  12. Would love to see us go for a player like danish teenage ace Viktor Fischer from Ajax. I have no idea how much he would cost, but at 18 and still a youth player it would not be that much. That being said he is about to get into the first team squad and has done well in preseason. He can play equally well at left and right wing, behind the striker or up front and is lethal as hell. Bound to be a star in the years coming and is a talent in the mold of Christian Eriksen - but with the goals that Eriksen is lacking.
