  1. It's uncanny how he's hated by fans of every club he's ever managed (and that's a lot of them). Even just in the Midlands that's Villa, West Brom and Birmingham. He'll pitch up at Wolves next.
  2. Not only that but they sacked the last manager because he wasn't getting the most of their squad. Fulham came back up with ease and an average Bournemouth side under Parker won the other automatic. Forest basically got in the play offs and won them with a good run. It was the weakest Championship in years and it's similar this year.
  3. Burn and Wood were bought with the aim of keeping the club up that season and as players who would do well in The Championship if the worst happened, rather than as long term buys. It's a new keeper, a new back four, a midfielder and a striker. The club will want at least one more forward and midfielder.
  4. If you're going for English players from other Premier League clubs you're guaranteed to be rinsed on the price (Gordon/Maddison/Gallagher etc). Guimares is the prototype to target.
  5. If we use the summer to let it be known we won't be ripped off then it sets a marker.
  6. I think clubs are weary o f going for established English players because of the added costs, look at Grealish last year. He plays quite a specialised role as well.
  7. Maddison is a high quality player and would be a good fit for Howe.
  8. How he managed to be manager of both Aston Villa and Birmingham, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United and Newcastle and Sunderland is baffling. Three of the fiercest rivalries in English football. Not only that but is hated by the fanbase of all of them. Even now at West Brom literally a few miles from Villa Park and big rivals. Who are Hull City's biggest rivals? That'll be his next job.
  9. It's a bit like when Villa came up with us. Their loan signings had got them up (Tammy Abraham scored 30 goals) and then they spent over 100 million and stayed up by the skin of their teeth.
  10. A lot of fuss over his 1000th game. Maybe they've allowed him that before he's sacked.
  11. Went out to Brentford last season as well. And needed pens to beat the likes of Oxford.
  12. At least he'd be spared the away fans as he's hated on both sides of Sheffield as well.
  13. What are the actual stats - anyone got them? I assume, it’s about four / five draws and 13 defeats or something? Yeah I think it's 2 wins 5 draws and the rest all defeats.
  14. 2 wins in 20, including two cup exits. How is he still in a job?
  15. He did the same thing the previous two relegations.
