  1. I wish we would be looking at Konstantelias from PAOK. He really impressed me in the Europa Conference matches I saw this year. The asking price is around 20M Euros and allegedly Brighton is already sniffing around
  2. We could even have a highlight show: Mate of the Day
  3. Garnacho has finally perfected the Simple Jack look
  4. From the Guardian report: Several weeks into the trial, the judge ordered the jury to find both Mendy and Matturie not guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman, after a video emerged showing her having “enthusiastic and obviously consensual sex” with Matturie. Mendy’s defence team used this dropped charge to plant doubt in the jury’s mind, suggesting that if one woman had lied, could the others not also have made up their allegations? “What you have actually seen with your own eyes in this case is – I hesitate to use the word – a real-life liar,” said Eleanor Laws KC in her closing speech to the jury. “Someone who has made serious criminal allegations against two men. And you have watched it play out, unusually, in front of your eyes. Because when ever does a defendant have a film to prove their innocence? Hardly ever.”

  6. How does one buy Platinum Club bonds?
  7. I thought Delaney has resigned from the Independent in disgust now that his employer is officially on the naughty list
  8. Dressing up is stupid, but this is a massive overreaction from KIO that just feeds the "all northerners are racists" stereotype. They want to organise education workshops on fancy dress etiquette
  9. It`s a response to Kick it Out, who took it upon themselves to tell Saudi people, what they should feel offended about
  10. When the Pl will eventually let these 6 get away with breaking their rules, would we still need to bother with their O&D test, or could we just proceed with the takeover?
  11. Why did Staveley ask fans to complain about the PL's unfair decision if PIF have just walked away? It doesn't make any sense. Then again not much about this whole farce does. I’m going with “They (As & RB) were surprised/disappointed that PIF withdrew and, knowing they had no legal recourse, threw a Hail Mary PR campaign.” This. Towards the end, AS and RB were spectators like the rest of us while PIF struggled with the PL and ultimately pulled out of the deal, My theory: PIF has had enough and walked away. AS (and the Reubens) did not want to give up that easy and tried to convince PIF to come back to the table. PIF told them that they were still interested, but they finished answering any more questions from PL. If AS can fix this and the deal is approved as it is now, then fine, otherwise they are out. AS, as a desperate, last ditch attempt reached out to the fans and Ashley to put some public pressure on the PL. It would be naive to think that this will change PL`s mind, but forcing them to make a public statement of the current state could make the basis of any further legal case. (or a threat of a legal case) PL are still playing for time, hence the 2 weeks to reply to MPs. PIF are probably already looking into possibilities to buy some other club in a different league. Soon there will be a point of no return, when they no longer can be persuaded to come back. It is very difficult to imagine that this takeover can be revived tbh.
