  1. This and it's because of years of underinvestment across the club not just on the pitch. The way an investor has to or should look at it is if they bought the club for 400m, it’s alwas going to be worth that if they run it well and worth more if they succeed. Ashley bought the club knowing he would never be out of pocket or rather never make a loss. Yes it’s a lot of money, but you are buying something that can become one of the top clubs in Europe. A club that is already one of the top clubs when it comes to stadia, gates, fan base, and yes revenue. Albeit that is somewhat skewered due to the huge TV deal here in the PL. Its worth 400m if this is to be a long term thing and it doesn’t need huge huge amounts of money thrown at it. 10m would fix the facilities issue. Good scouts and coaching is what fixes the development of the academy/reserves/development. Rafa can fix that alone by being ale to bring in his own people. The first team of course is where the biggest injection of money is needed. But if year one of takeover is about stability and consolidation, just getting Kennedy, the ‘keeper and Slimani in should see to that with Rafa as manager. Look at what has been spent at City, what a billion pounds or more in total? Do that here including purchase of club and we would be top 4 and winning silverware. Howay man HTT, you know full well the club hasn't been "run well" for over a decade. Commercial and matchday income has gone down, debt has doubled, there has been precious little investment in its facilities and the stature of the club as a whole has gone down from being regular European contenders to regular relegation fodder. Then there is the question of what would happen to the 129m debt after any takeover and whether it would be included in these valuations, but presumably the new owners would have to cough up or refinance it as well. Saying the club is worth what Ashley asks if run well is like someone putting their depricated house on the market for what it could be worth after renovation. As others have said, if the club is worth that much where are the buyers? Of course Ashley sets his price as he is entitled to do, but by setting a price nobody sees as near to the club's true value it makes it abundantly clear that he's not a willing seller at all. We've been here before, sadly. It's pretty obvious that's not what he said. Just read the bit you bolded. But that doesn't make sense, if we won the Premier league every year we'd be worth a billion but obviously no ones ever gonna buy us for that
  2. e But isn’t he known for being cunt in takeover deals, ‘he parks his tanks on your lawn’ is a quote that springs to mind. Obviously it’s the other way round but he’s still likely to be a cunt!

South Shields is mainly a mackem area and further up the tyne you go the less mackem supporters you find, so you do get some in Jarrow. No way is South Shields mainly a mackem area like, at the very worst its 50/50
  4. Women and kids in that crowd ffs. One time where our lot don't appear to have done anything wrong. Pity we have a reputation for fighting back mind. Eh? You wouldn't fight back? I don't want to fight anyone. It's a f***ing football match. Canny enlightening seeing all the forum hooligans coming out of the woodwork to justify all this like. Hooligan? Never had a fight at a football match in my life and don't intend to however if I was attacked I'd feel vindicated to defend myself. From what I've seen/read it's quite clear Russian / French hooligans have started most of the violence. Having said that, there's cleary a significant number of English happy to revel in the chaos. My feeling is that the vast majority of English who are well behaved are easy targets for both violence and blame. Then you are part of the problem. It's the perennial excuse... the poor England fans who were attacked, provoked by heavy-handed policing and so on and so on... it's bullshit! It takes two sides to fight. As a reasonable adult, if I were attacked I would get myself out of that situation as quickly as possible, not escalate it by fighting back. Throwing bottles, goading police and punching old men holding shopping bags is not defensive. Nar, when did I say punching old blokes was defending yourself? It's easy to say you'd go back to your hotel room but if your friends or family are being attacked what would you do?

Totally agree with this, they need to bump it up before the end of the season and not let it fade away in the summer. Aye, Ashley's played blinder with these 10 year deals, a lot of my mates have renewed but given the choice now wouldn't have. Saying that, some lads, one of my best mates included wouldn't even consider giving up their st ( although tbf he did boycott Spurs), some people are just lost causes, need to concentrate on the undecided. We can do this!

I was at the game today (sorry) I'm a st holder, cancelled in January though. I boycotted last week, attended the protest and watched the match in the strawberry. I left today at 3 1 (1st time I've left a game early) and the people I spoke to when leaving were actually glad to leaving. People are sick of going and I think with a little bit more of a push this movement could get massive numbers. If they had better PR or a shearer or keegan backing them it would explode! Mainstream media need to this
  12. Personally, I knew I had to cancel because when we scored I could barely be arsed to get off my seat. There was a time I'd celebrate any goal like it was a last minute winner in a cup final. Now it's just, meh. And it's not just coz I'm getting older, I still want that buzz. That anticipation, nervous excitement before the game. Town used to literally fizzle with excitement before the match. Now it's dead, like its a chore just to turn up. To me, NUFC used to be something special but whatever that was it's been lost and I,ve no idea how to get back!
  13. Cancelled mine today, just don't see the point anymore. Gutted it's come to this but I think it's the right decision. I'll be straight back once this fat cunts gone like!

  15. So we booked this before we played the 3rd round? But we're not throwing cup games, honest!
