  1. He is too important. He is a local lad and the best prospect in a generation. He is someone the fans will love and get behind - a potential world class player rising through the ranks adds a sense of pride to the fans. This guy should be nurtured and be the heart of our team for a decade. Instead he will be binned off for a few quid before we get to see the best of him.
  2. Christ, how tight is it at the bottom of the Conference South!?
  3. I always wonder what's involved in 'preparing' a bid. I have visions of Lee Charnley, Mike and Dekka gathered around a computer screen in Mike's office, typing the offer up in Word whilst deciding what clip art and fancy borders to use.
  4. If the club insisted on some kind of pay-as-you-play deal for Demba when he signed it would make sense for him to negotiate a release clause in his contract. For us it's zero risk if his knee explodes whilst for him it absolutely guarentees that we try and negotiate a new contract if he performs, removing pay-as-you-play and also the release clause, whilst giving him a nice new pay rise.
