  1. Agree with Mrmojoism. Just look how much better Perez has looked since Kenedy has come into the side. Get a decent striker in front of him too and he will look that much better.
  2. You can kinda make the same point about Guthrie, and I thought he was pretty good in the Championship tbh. Guthrie probably had a better range of passing, but probably similar in other aspects of their game.
  3. What happened to that Callum Douglas lad from Elche?
  4. Just caught the end of this. We were not the only club in for Cabaye. I know Aston Villa was as well, not sure the extent on other interest though.
  5. The money stuff I get if we offering substandard wages. However if this guy is turning down a move to us because he does not want to be seen as "Cabaye's replacement", then is that really the guy you want to bring in mentality wise? Seeing as Cabaye made this team tick (more or less). Just saying you would want someone up for the challenge, all other factors being the same.
  6. If PSG wants French players so bad, would it have been so difficult to include Obertan in with the deal? He's French.
  7. That makes way much too sense to actually happen.
  8. Watch him play, score from a corner, and then do his ACL.
  9. While I don't think Obertan was horrendous against Arsenal, given the space Arsenal gave him and decent positions he was in he was extremely wasteful. If he had a bang on performance- winning an occasional 50-50 and run at their defense once in a while, I think we could have won that game. I had been holding up hope that he could do a Bale and just figure it out, but I have just about given up on that happening. He really lacks the brain and seemingly the grit to ever maximize his pace and come good.
  10. I gotta think communication is tough for him. The lad does not speak much English at all, which can't help when his biggest liability has been his positioning thus far. It also can't help that he is right footed playing on the left and you constantly cutting in to work the ball onto his right foot. That through ball he had to Ba in the first half is not a pass that any of our other fullbacks are making any time soon. I think we will see him much improved next season as he figures it out, as you can see his potential both on the ball and defensively (at least one on one defending thus far) and the rest should come with time.
  11. This times 10000000. And if not him someone should have gotten Song right afterwards.
  12. Pleat was awful. There were a few Arsenal supporters watching with us and even they were getting pissed at Pleat's commentary. To be fair, he is usually much better and even very complimentary towards us (Tottenham home match and Villa a few weeks ago come to mind).
  13. He was overhitting and missing his passes in the first half, remember the break we had where he drilled it 10 yards ahead of HBA who was level with him...was that stamina? No, but if you look at the Chelsea match and Everton match (as 2 that I can remember) he was looking very knackered after 70 minutes or so.
  14. I am voting to change it up to a 4-3-3 and falling back to more of a 4-4-2 defensively. Krul Simmo Perch Colo Santon Raylor Tiote Abeid HBA Ba Jonas Bench: Harps, Shola, Obertan, Best, Willo, Vuckic, Ferguson
  15. DC/NOVA. We've earmarked Ireland fourcourts but now not looking likely. There's a place in town that opens up really early for matches (7:30am when I was there). It's called Fado's. Get off at the Chinatown Metro (Verizon Center stop) and walk North up 7th St. That's where I watched Ben Arfa get slaughtered by De Jong :'( Here's the actual address: 808 7th Street Northwest Washington D.C., DC 20001 And then afterwards you can go to Nando's, which is across the street. Ah nice! We went to the Crime and Punishment museum the other day which is right by there then hit up Nando's. She has a test sadly so I'm watching it on a PC in some Community College computer lab. I'd be looking on livescore if it weren't for too football fans sat right next to me who helped me. You guys get a good crowd in DC? I am up the street in Baltimore and we have a decent enough following up here.
