Everything I love about film is in that movie.
It's not worth failing unless you fail spectacularly.

No more Waterloo, no more rural country halts, no more solitude: no more becoming, just interminable being.

Sometimes you hear someting on the radio out of the blue that plays about in your head and sets you off on a completely new listening strand.....

Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

Best thing they've done in 25 years.

Apparently they've remembered they're a thrash band.

  If it wasn't for the vocals, I'd swear Moth Into Flame was a Megadeth song.

Opeth's new album, Sorceress, is pretty good. I prefer their older, heavier stuff but this newer stuff also hits the spot.

Been thinking recently why I'm such a hip hop fan and where it came from. This album had a lot to do with it but why did I buy this album at 11? There was 'Hip Hop on the BBC' on BBC4 just now and they showed a TOTP performance of Gangsters Paradise and I distinctly remember watching that exact performance live in 96, loving it obviously, and my Dad tutting. I think the Turtles films might actually have started it all. The soundtracks were a soft introduction to hip hop for a 6/7 year old working class north eastern english white kid.
