...sounds like somebody wants a Norway thread...u jelly?  :azn:

Me and The Butcher of Ålgård sharing our thoughts on Norwegian jantelov and Norwegians being afraid of speaking to strangers, would make for a boring thread.

Well I, for one, would welcome and contribute heartily to such a thread. Because I support the hopes and dreams of my fellow posters and friendly acquaintances.

Yes.... we can talk about gutting cod, and smoking cod, and eating cod
The rapturous, wild & ineffable pleasure of drinking at someone else's expense

Cod cheeks are a fantastic dish, highly recommended.   O0

It's not the actual cheek of the fish, rather a large piece of flesh inside the head, roughly the size of a chicken nugget.  A decent fishmonger will sell them in bunches.  Best enjoyed rolled in flour or cornmeal and pan-fried.

Made some pickerel cheeks at home last week.   DALASHOUS.

Simple recipe for cod or pickerel cheeks.

Man United haven't had this much of a squad overhaul since 1958

Could it have feasibly climbed high enough to leave the atmosphere? ???

The assault with the Big Macs offered a touch of hilarity amid all that madness.

Canada Fun Fact: today is Victoria Day in Canada, a national holiday that no other country on earth observes.  She granted us independence in 1867.  In contemporary times, today is an occasion for boozing, fireworks, and ill-advised combinations of the two.

An everyday occurrence in Canada: man brings baby moose to coffee shop.

Not just any coffee shop. To Tim Hortons. It's like taking a goat to the f***ing mosque if this was an Islamic theocracy.

This idea has been kicked around for decades.  It usually pops up as a lovely "what if" in the middle of winter.

It would be neat if it happened, but it doesn't seem likely anytime soon.

In the 90's about 90% of the population voted to join Canada. Canada are currently running their police force and other services.

Best fish we ever had was in Vancouver.  Black Cod.  Lush.

Canada Fun Fact:

The 1986 Team Canada squad is the best one to ever play in a World Cup.

It's also the only one.
