When it comes to "trainers" or sneaks, or what have you, I prefer Vans from J-Crew or the Lo Pro version.  Clean, simple, no crazy colors. Goes with shorts, jeans, chinos, etc.

I prefer Converse all-stars over Vans though. Pair of white converse are excellent shoes. Only problem you seem to have to buy a new one every 3 months because of it's quality.

Had a pair of Jack Purcells and Chuck T's from Converse (one after the other) and both were great. Even had some SeaVees sneakers too, but something about the Vans these days which I'm a fan of - very clean and understated.

That's because the Foamposites are classic.

Absolutely horrible. Need to get myself a new pair of these. Most comfortable sneakers I've ever had.

Spoiler

I've got a version of these without the brogue bit on the toes, they're class
So raise your fists and march around
Dont dare take what you need
I'll jail and bury those committed
And smother the rest in greed
Crawl with me into tomorrow
Or i'll drag you to your grave
I'm deep inside your children
They'll betray you in my name

Sleep now in the fire

I'm on my third consecutive pair of these brown suede Clarke's desert boots, and I'll buy them every year they fall to bits. (Actually my first pair were 'Pretty Green/Clarke's). And I'll probably die in them due to the lack of grip on smooth surfaces when wet.
