Depending on how cool you are, they are badass or you deserve to get beat up.

I'd say 95% of "users" of such shoes fall into the latter category FWIW.

Since when did Asics trainers become cool?

Since everyone started wearing New Balance, go HiTeck if you want to beat the game.

They're nice but I'd want to add laces myself even if they were needless. Onitsku's are ultra comfortable/durable too.

 Aye, I've not come across trainers that are as comfortable or last as long as Tigers.

Classier version than those adidas Stan Smith (which btw are also extremely nice shoes)

Or if you have endless amount of money these Lanvin Sneakers are class.

Would be decent if it wasn't for that horrific pattern on the front

I've got a pair of brown Paul Smith trainers that I wear occasionally, they're f***ing awful

EDIT: Not them tap dancing slippers, my word.

Can't help to laugh (as I get what you are saying). Sneakers have to always be black or white and worn out and laces never done, they're put inside. Hate the little lace-bow-tie or whatever they're called.

Only complan is the patter infront, but worn out you don't see it as much.  Obviously to get there you ahve to wear them a bit  As for brown sneakers, stay clear.

Is there a specific and easy way to tie laces and keep them comfortably inside the shoe like?

Some trainers look terrible with the laces showing but I've always just accepted that I'm not skilled enough to combat it..

I always tie the laces on the side so I can stick them in infront/side of the shoe. Hard to explain what I mean, but unless the laces are enormous they're easily put inside.

When it comes to "trainers" or sneaks, or what have you, I prefer Vans from J-Crew or the Lo Pro version.  Clean, simple, no crazy colors. Goes with shorts, jeans, chinos, etc.
