He is on about 50k apparently which is a bit steep. Would extend though just because we are going to need to change a lot already next season, not for too many years though.

would extend but not for £50k a week

As a RB, one of the few players who didn't crumble during the relegation fight last season. He's a solid, balanced rightback when fit. Unless there's a wonderkid emerging in our youth set-up (to replace him, in rotation with Yedlin) we should stick with Anita.

He wasn't particularly good last season like. Happy to keep him on as back up because of his versatility but when everyone's fit he shouldn't be anywhere near the 1st team assuming we are in the PL.

Nah - he played pretty well at right back last season.  Would be more than happy to have him and Yedlin was our RBs next season, given the need to strengthen elsewhere.  Shouldn't even be close to a priority.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.

We'll have to shift Gamez too and hope someone in Spain or wherever can match his wages

What do you think you are going to get for less than 50k in this day and age?

Legs have gone. Not that he had much pace to begin with.

Having his worst game for us ever as a RB. Unbelievably bad today, they keep targetting him :(

He's not even bothering to get back. No new contract for him I hope.

Actually concerned he's ill, or hungover, or concussed or something. Sommat's not right with him today at all.

Having an absolute 'mare tonight, no question. As bad as I have ever seen him play.

I know this is a night of happiness, but his first half defensive  performance was one of the worst I've ever seen. Positioning was mental, as if he was p*ssed.

Had a bit of a shocker. Would still keep him for next season though, just preferably not first joice.

If he is on 50k a week he has to go. He's been targeted as a weak link by a few opposing sides recently and his positioning was woeful last night. He's too small, it's a simple as that, forget about his other attributes or failings. He's shown that he can't cut in the PL as a midfielder and you can't have him at full back when high diagonals are all it takes to take him out of the game. It was embarrassing last night.

As bad as he was last night, that wasn't his worst performance of the season. Fulham (H) takes that accolade.

He looked like he had never played football before last night like, was absolutely atrocious.

Strange really, as Leeds was one of his best performances all season. It's been a strange season like that, where players will have outstanding games followed by absolute trash.

He might take a wage cut to stay.
Sir Bobby Robson: “What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.”
