LG 50' TV USB ISSUE
(1/1)
lovejoy:
Hi all,
need a bit of technical help here!
I have a 50' LG TV plasma (about 2 years old), unfortunately, the model number is on the back and its stuck to my wall so I cant see what model it is!
It has a USB port but when I plug my USB stick in, the films that are on there do not show up? is there any reaosn for this?
I've done some searching online and came across this as a way to sort it out, does it look right to you? is there any other ways to play films from usb through my tv?
thanks in advance!

Coco:
It's probably a codec issue. I recently got a 42" LG, and everything I've tried so far has played fine. Do you know what type of files you're trying to play?
neesy111:
Could be any of the following:
1) Your TV doesn't support USB playback. My LG 32" didn't until I changed down my firmware to unlock the feature.
2) Your USB is formatted incorrectly, i.e. NTFS and not FAT32 which is widely supported but only allows for files up to 4GB.

thanks lads,
i've sacked it off and gone for a dvd player! too techy for me!
