isn't bergen the rainiest city in europe?

Yep. Lived there last year. It's mental. I'm 3 hours from there now though, and have to say the cold weather combined with excessive wind and rain is a lot worse than just the non stop rain, which is the case in Bergen (kind of shielded from winds).

My impression of Southern England (specifically the capital of the United Kingdom) is that it doesn't actually rain an excessive amount. However, the sky always appears as though it will. The sun is a rare and delightful occurrence.

i saw a video where the city of Bergen was having some sort of rain celebration festival--but it wasn't raining.  so they got the local fire dept. to hose everyone down.   :lol:
