Any chance I could play this one boys? I'm up north for the weekend, visiting family, business trip and up to watch the Derby (if I can get tickets) So would be great to join in!

Aye, you (and anyone else reading this and unsure whether or not to ask) are more than welcome to come along to this (and any other NOFC) game.

The IFA league is all about bringing fans of 'rival' teams together to enjoy a footy match; this game is all about bringing together different groups of Newcastle fans to enjoy a footy match before our lovely city gets infested by the unwashed from down the road on Sunday. :)
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

OK. I'll try to book our stadium tour for 1.30 pm then! Are you sure you guys can get up to play at 11 am in the morning? The same question applies to my fellow beer-thirsty Norwegian travelers :)

Such a shame the match is played so early on Saturday. My flight from Norway arrives in Newcastle at 12.45pm local time.

s'alright, got one. First derby day ever. Although to warn you, my record of watching us live this year is 1 win, 2 draws, 2 losses. Hopefully for symmetry's sake the win is coming.

I think it would be better for us to do the stadium tour first (at 11 am) and then play against you later (1.30 ish). That way we can go for some beers and watch PL afterwards instead of going to SJP for the tour.

What do you think?

Pitch availability might be an issue for games KO after 1pm (Saturday league matches KO 2pm).

Otherwise, I don't see a problem...open to the floor

Muddy Grass Pitch FTW. Hardcore sliding tackles on Scandanavians sounds awesome.
