My animated gif isn't working as an avatar!

This is because the maximum image size for avatars is 125x125 pixels. The forum automatically resizes anything bigger, which loses the frames in the case of animations.

The remedy is to resize your animation before uploading it. Either use a program capable of this (such as Jasc Animation Shop) or a free online editor such as: www.online-image-editor.com. Just upload the image to the site, resize it, save the smaller version to your computer and only then add it to the forum.

That website and this thread have combined to make it possible to overcome my laziness and eventually get around to resizing my av so it works. :thup:
