Just watched his little speech, he's completely lost it. Reading his speech out from papers and there was a point he turned to a wrong page and continued on talking with a completely wrong sentence til one of the military clad henchmen tapped him.

My lass is watching strictly (I'm not, I'm just passing through :shifty:).  Staggeringly, staggeringly bad version of New York New York just been on. I find it difficult to comprehend just how badly it was done.  How can people be so very bad, and also be apparently entertaining the nation?

They seem to be trying their best not to do this and he just keeps shitting on them,
You will not be punished for your anger, you will be punished by your anger.
We ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate.
Student says " I am very discouraged. What should I do?" Master says, "encourage others."
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
It takes a wise man to learn from his mistakes, but an even wiser man to learn from others.
This is what should be done. By one who is skilled in goodness, and who knows the path of peace: Let them be able and upright, straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, contented and easily satisfied. Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing that the wise would later reprove.

Aye, seems to be getting plenty of chances to just grumble his way off to a few years living on a big old ranch or something

To lend a bit of verisimilitude and make it look live, I guess

Have never been brave enough to use it in actual conversation. In fact, I think that's the first time I've ever deployed it. Wanted something classier than 'realistic'

Nee f***er would understand it anyway. Better leave it gathering cobwebs imo. There's maybe two people I know who wouldn't just pretend they got it tbh.
