Santa Maria del Sur - Argentine Parilla (Battersea)
Wahaca - Mexican street food (Covent Garden)

failing that Urban Spoon (http://www.urbanspoon.com/c/52/London-restaurants.html) is useful as f***.

Not really, just want a few choices in a sort of mid-range price bracket, in the city centre.

Could also have a look around on here: http://www.tastecard.co.uk/search.php

They're doing a free 30 day trial at the minute, so you wouldn't have to pay and just use it once. There's shitloads of restaurants on there, better deals during the week, but still lots at weekends.

I've just thought, do you not end up getting food all over your clothes/face? Or do they give you bibs or some s***?

Co-sign both but be warned, Battersea is a bit of a schlep if you're planning on staying fairly central.

 You're just extremely careful.  And you end up using your fingers to put stuff on your fork once you remember that no f***er can see you.

The Preto Brazilian steakhouses are quite nice and reasonably priced.

Il Bordello's in Wapping if you like Italian. Huge portions, not that pricey. And the food is well tasty.

Taro in Soho is an awesome cheap Japanese place. Very friendly and does those bento box things where you get a little bit of a load of dishes... very good.

There's two but I've only been to the Brewer St one:

Went there, wasn't massively impressed :undecided: heard there's a place in the O2 (not central, I know) where you pay £25 a head and they offer you plate after plate of different types of exotic meat (ostrich, shark, giraffe, etc.). Seems worth a visit.
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Such a great point, you had to make it twice ...

Quite a vague question tbh, London is a pretty big city. Would recommend this place: http://www.mpwsteakandalehouse.org/index.php?h=1
Sir John Hall: "I was told that the man behind the deal was Mike Ashley and I sat with his representatives over three days thrashing out a deal. I was keen to know why they wanted the club and they were quite honest. They wanted to market their sports goods in the Far East and would use the club to help do this."

Interesting, I've been loads of times and always liked it. Not that I have very gourmet tastes! It's closer to £10 a head than £25 like, in its defence.

I've been to the O2 a few times but never seen this place, what is it called?

I would recomend trying a Malaysian restaurant called Melati for good food at a good price. Bit confusing as there is two of them independent of each other, one in Soho and one on Great Windmill Street. I've been to the one on Great Windmill Street and really enjoyed the food: http://www.london-eating.co.uk/3114.htm

This place is a bit more pricier but it's fantastic: http://momoresto.com/restaurant/london/momo/restaurant/

If you want to go a little outside of the centre then you can't go wrong by taking a trip to Brick Lane for a good curry!

When I said "I'd always liked it", I meant Taro. Never been to the 02.

Actually, on the subject of Brick Lane I went to a place called Sweet and Spicy the other night.

Very basic but quite tasty Indian food at cheap prices... no licence so you can buy alcohol from a off licence up the road and bring it in. Not a place to impress anyone but the food is good for the prices.

this is supposed to be s*** hot, I would imagine pricey but my old boss went there and swears by it.

If anyone recomends the Mango Tree don't bother, you'll pay something like £80 a head once you add drinks for something you can get in any town centre, its Thai by the way. Decent enough food like but prices are way way too much even for London!

Best Indian I've been to and reasonably priced for London, the food was excellent.
