Book people, would I enjoy this more if I finish this massive boring f***ing novel?

It's not let you miss out on much important yet at least, the ones I know that haven't read it enjoyed it very very much.

f*** you, it's midnight.

I'd reccomend watching the series before reading the book as that way if they do leave out s*** and alter things you won't be angry when watching it.

Is episode two going to be repeated this week?
Sir John Hall: "I was told that the man behind the deal was Mike Ashley and I sat with his representatives over three days thrashing out a deal. I was keen to know why they wanted the club and they were quite honest. They wanted to market their sports goods in the Far East and would use the club to help do this."

Recorded this on the off chance I'd like it. Loving it!!! Tyrion is f***ing mint. The Lannister's are c***s, apart from from Tyrion obviously.

Don't read books so haven't a clue where it's going but looking forward to tomorrow's already.

Oh and Louise Summers is a f***ing tremendous addition to the cast!!!

Really impressed with it so far, kept it very faithful to the first book. As with most people, I love Tyrion, and hate Joffrey.
Thread killer.

Very impressed so far.

Tempted to give the books a go now.

This for me, watched episodes 1-3 straight off and loved it definately be looking at the books when season 1 ends.

My only qualm at the moment is that we just finished the fourth episode and there are still too many characters who's intentions are way too vague.

Overall thought this has been a great series so far.

Finally finished reading the first book, after seeing it mentioned on here I figured it must be worth a read. Pretty good stuff, could easily go back and re-read it to pick up all the things I missed out on first time around, couldn't put it down!

For those who are massive fans of the books, is the TV show worth watching or will I be disappointed so far? (haven't read the thread - not sure if it'll be spoiler-ish or not)
They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Books will always be better tbh, but imo this may be the best series based on book source material so it's well worth watching. It's an amazing show and they don't really leave much out even if there's minor alterations here and there, as there will be to make a book fit another format.

Battles?
"I'm a competitor and I want to play every game, every minute. The manager knows what I'm thinking. He knows I want to play. He makes his choices and I have to respect them."But it's true we don't share quite the same philosophy. For him, it's more crosses, a bit of a more direct style, whereas I'm more the kind of player who likes to play short passes.
"I like to pass and move.. .."That is the kind of football I like. That's the philosophy I learned at the French academy at Clairefontaine." HBA

TV Show v Book battle isn't worth having, I've enjoyed both! TV chops and changes and mingles together chapters though, which is why I thought it was moving a long so fast.

You appear very correct.

I'd reccomend people don't watch the preview, it made me go given how it's a week until. It's all tasty.
