The 'Electronica' Thread
« on: Monday 21 February 2011, 08:08:37 PM »
I wasn't sure if there was a thread on this, and if there isn't I thought one was needed whereby we could discuss all things electronica. Or people could generally give people the heads up on any decent new releases etc.

I'm currently listening to a bit of this   -

Which inspired the thread.

It would be interesting to know what people's favourite albums and artists are.

"I took the decision to resign in September 2008 only after very careful and anxious consideration. The decision to resign was one of the most difficult decisions that I have ever had to take in my life. I believe that anybody who knows me and my attachment to Newcastle United and the North East in general will understand how difficult this must have been. I very much hope that the decision of the Tribunal now confirms why I felt that I had no option but to resign from the position as Manager of the Club that I love."- Kevin Keegan speaking on 02/10/2009

If my ears were capable of ejaculating, they would be right now while I have this on.

It's genius. Literally. But all their albums are worth the bother from Autobahn to Electric Café (or Techno Pop as it now seems to have been renamed).

Bullshitters misrepresent themselves to their audience not as liars do, that is, by deliberately making false claims about what is true. In fact, bullshit need not be untrue at all.

Rather, bullshitters seek to convey a certain impression of themselves without being concerned about whether anything at all is true. They quietly change the rules governing their end of the conversation so that claims about truth and falsity are irrelevant.

It hardly matters, because they're mint anyway, but I would say they were.

Adore Can and Neu but have struggled to get into Kraftwerk. Need to give them some proper time though.

I love their Amorphous Androgynous stuff. The Isness is a class album.
