Decent move I suppose. Hope he's given a chance at RB as most Sheff Wed fans said he played better when he was right midfield  :undecided:

Ugh, prefer if he wasn't being loaned to the franchise, I don't mind giving them joke players.

I quite liked the idea of sabotaging their promotion bid with Smith. Now we've just helped them replace their best player (who they lost today).
Before that why didn't the Wigan fans just walk the the Stewart's, the Stewart's only went up to the touchline, their was a big gap between the end of the Stewart's and the stand they could have walked through.

Don't like the idea of him being under the influence of Smith like.

Eh, why?

Sorry , just a bit of a joke  Just don't like Smith very much so assuming everyone else thinks he's a c***.

As long as he's playing RB then don't care where he's at.

Back within a week after a playful tackle from teamate Alan Smith in training goes awry, breaking his leg in three places.
Chris Hughton, simply the best manager we had from 2009-2010.

According to http://www.nufc.com/2011-12html/squad.html James Tavernier's contact with NUFC expires in June 2012.

James Tavernier won't be among United cull

Feb 5 2012 by Mark Douglas, Sunday Sun

JAMES TAVERNIER will be spared the reserve-team cull being planned by Newcastle United.

The Toon are releasing 12 young pros whom they don’t believe have a chance of making the first XI – including Tamas Kadar, Ole Soderberg, Samuel Adjei, England under-19 striker Ryan Donaldson and Phil Airey.

The club want all of them to be fixed up with new clubs before they confirm details of the exodus, but it represents a complete overhaul at second-string level for United, who want to free up space for players from their talented under-age groups to break through.

The contract of right-back Tavernier is also up for renewal at the end of the season, but he WON’T be among those leaving in the summer.

The 20-year-old will be rewarded with a new contract in the next few weeks as recognition for his development this season.

He is currently on loan at MK Dons after spells with Sheffield Wednesday and Carlisle this season.

“James is staying at this football club,” Pardew told the Sunday Sun.”

“He will be at this football club next year – 100 per cent.”

Good. Seems to a cracking player and I have high hopes for him to put Simpson on the bench.

:sadnod:

Looking forward to seeing a "new" Tavernier next season like. Hopefully, he'll be able to compete with Simpson.

Might pop along to Hartlepool and see how him and Smith are getting along on Saturday. Sad I know, but I hate saturdays without footy and with the derby being the next day it will be a slow afternoon otherwise.
