They keep saying their strategy will take several years to implement, I accept this and realise that in the future we may be able to hold onto players much easier if we manage to achieve success without burning cash to get there. There's next to no point in overspending until you're in the s*** to get to Europe, only to fall out of it for several years and potentially enter relegation battles. Be frugal, spend the money wisely but at all times keep a core of good players in the side and try the utmost to create a core which is reasonably stable for three-four years.

I fully expect to get slayed and slated here for being a w***** apologist and maybe I'm wrong, maybe all they care about is lining their pockets and f***ing us over but you can argue it both ways. The haters have a more aggressive way of talking about it but we'll not know who's right until MA's ownership comes to an end.

Won't know until 9am the morning of the game, as that's when they announce if the youth game is on or off.

Going to miss this one. I have got myself on a little fitness scheme at the moment, so hopefully I might get back with a bit of a bang. I will begin putting my name forward for a lot of the home ones once again....just not quite yet.

I'll aim for Arsenal at home. I could barely hack it when I've played in the past so I would like to be able to manage the task of potentially playing 60+ minutes, rather than just be a waffling buffoon involved in defensive mix-ups and general tom-foolery. This could still enter my game though, I'm not going to lie.

That is, providing I am still welcome... :smug:
Missed it at the match, didn't even see Tiote running towards us.. I was facing the other way shaking the handlebars in a blokes mobility scooter behind me as we were screaming at each other
turned around to see them all lying on the deck.

If for some reason Greg & Tall Striker's hands fall off prior to the match I can come and play in goal. Otherwise I might come & watch.

When is the next match after this btw?  Or is it on a "contact and play" basis?

I'm really not used to being the 'new guy'.  Probably doesn't help I'm drinking whilst being the 'new guy'...

Next few games have threads already below this one but for some reason Stu locks them.

This is what confused me.

I'm an administrator on a totally unrelated forum and locking discussion topics just seems a bit pointless to me.  Maybe I'm just accustomed to seeing the lock icon and ignoring it, who knows.

And now I should stop before I derail the thread.  Thanks guys.

Thump1892: one open home match thread at a time, don't want to run the risk of anyone being confused by when the next match is ;)
